You're told what the tiles do at the start of the game I just completely skipped over it because I'm an arrogant fool. It tells you that fights that happen on this tile will always start with an enemy turn. Not as scary as I thought.

I can mostly tell what 90% of the tiles in this game do, but there's one tile that's an ominous skull and for the life of me I have no idea what it does and stepping on it is incredibly stressful for absolutely no reason. like, obviously nothing good can happen, right? It's a skull.

I need to scream about it for a bit. So the game's main gimmick is dice rolls. Like, you don't really have traditional RPG level progression, instead your stats determine how well your success chances are fighting against the weird little fucks you run into. You need to roll to open chests too btw

I played Spectral Tower recently. I have a way more feelings about it than I probably should have for what kind of game it is. I made it to about a quarter of the way through Queenrose Tower and thought "Okay, I think I get it."

Now that the game is nearly done, we're going to be putting out a final demo update in the next couple of days that fixes a lot of the issues with the build that's currently up. The main fixes include balancing and fixing some items and skills that didn't work. We also added a full combat log.
