We brought home a new family member today from the Humane Colorado - Leslie A. Malone Center. He's a bit over a year old and we are still deciding on a name (no family history, found as a stray, doesn't respond to the name the shelter gave him, etc). I'm petitioning for Rice-A-Roni.

Look at the lovely sunflowers my partner met me with at the airport yesterday. I thought it was funny, because I met him without Huckleberry chocolate from Seatttle. Between the two of us, we covered the flowers and the chocolate 😁

The last of this season's planting plugs came today, all native plants (Woods Rose, Rabbitbrush, Saltbrush, Sumac, etc). I repotted them temporarily and watered them. My husband will plant them this weekend. I'll be in Seattle for Antioch's fall Sex Therapy residency weekend 🙂

The worst part is that the nearly same thing happened almost exactly 3 weeks ago. So I am legitimately wondering if I just got unlucky with similar viruses a few weeks apart, or if there is something else going on 😒 Anyways, happy #caturday

That moment when your cat has been weirdly cuddly the last few days, then you wake up vomiting and now have to wonder if it was just because she knew you are sick or because she knew you are dying. And it kind of feels like the latter 🙃

I put together some Halloween themed milkweed seed packets for trick or treaters this year. We'll have candy and other non food stuff too, but thought this would be fun also.

A variety of Halloween themed seed packets are strewn across a table. Labels say Milkweed Seeds, Do Not Eat, and 15 Common, Showy, Pink Swamp, White Swamp, and Butterfly. The backs say Plant these seeds now and you can grow monster-sized monarch caterpillars that will turn into monarch butterflies.

An in progress knit blanket is laid out on the legs of a recliner. There are panels of smaller knit rows in a variagated yarn with the colors white, yellow, teal, purply grey, and red, with two larger paneled rows of solid teal, and solid red. A circular needle is visible toward the top.
