On Ezno: the JavaScript type-checker and compiler. Progress has been few and far between for a while. There are still fixes to be made, ideas to share and features to tidy up. But I currently do not have the energy it deserves. So until then the project is paused.

Recently learned about OSC command support in Ghossty. The clipboard API OSC52 ghostty.org/docs/vt/osc/52 looks useful, but 7 and 9 also good.

Any ideas for emulating a thin material (e.g. paper) in Blender. Want the shadow / light projected onto both sides of the plane.
I want the backface of a plane to be illuminated as if it was the front face. Is it possible to copy the light paths?

Released a new version of spectra. My favourite new feature is `--infill` which generates expected cases from a program. (here generating for an `uppercase` program). More features and fixes coming soon. Would also like to hear suggestions for the testing tool. github.com/kaleidawave/...

Rust Vector with custom length and capacity types by kaleidawave · Pull Request #36 · kaleidawave/experiments
Rust's standard library Vec / vector type currently is roughly defined as struct Vec<T> { start: *const u8, length: usize, capacity: usize, // core::num::niche_types::UsizeNoHighBit, ...

Ben @kaleidawave.bsky.social · 18/03/2026
Has anyone written a fork of `Vec` in the Rust standard library which allows for custom length & capacity types. It could reduce memory here by 1/3 given that these vectors are unlikely to have more than 2**32 entries.

Fun JavaScript quiz, do either of these parse? If so, which ones
Case 1. `for (using = 0; using < 2; using += 1) console.log(0, using)`

Case 2. `for (await using; using < 4; using += 1) console.log(1, using)`

Released depict 0.2.0 (deterministic evaluation of performance via instruction counting tool) github.com/kaleidawave/... I have recently been using it to identify overhead in Ezno's parser! There are a few issues with it. But if it looks interesting or useful be sure to share feedback on it!

Anybody know how in Blender to sample a compositor input at a pixel.? The input exists in shader nodes but not compositor nodes?
Compositor node editor on the left. Shader node editor on the right. Shader texture node has vector input. Compositor *texture* node does not?
