For context, this is my playtime on the ffxiv free trial, I bought the full game and a sub in the first zone in Heavensward, with 230 hours. I still consider the player I was in Heavensward to be a new player

So at 2.5 hours per vod, 85 episodes would put them at a little over 200 hours, which could still mean they're in Heavensward or Stormblood, which absolutely still qualifies them as a new player. Personally, I'd argue that you can call yourself a new player until your first new expansion cycle

25 routes, mt moon, rock tunnel, diglett cave, seafoam islands, victory road all with 1 catch each. Then you have fishable water tiles in towns/cities like Viridian and Vermillion cities, gift pokemon in Celadon and Saffron, and the safari zone. Yeah those are literally all you need for a nuzlocke (the third is frankly optional, and I almost never use it) All the other stipulations, no items in battle, level caps, inf candies, are all additional rules for hardcore nuzlockes for people who run them professionally

We are ~6+ months out from launch and they're announcing new attacks coming in Title Updates, I would call that cut content. At this point in Wilds' development, Seregios and Lagi were still marked down in the game data (beta) as release monsters, then got shunted to TU2 (benchmark)

I cannot stress this enough. ALMOST ALL of the character story and growth happens in Seasonal storylines that are now gone. Savathun was wearing Osiris, one of the most legendary figures in Destiny's history, as a skinsuit for a year, and that storyline is now gone.
