I'd like to say it's pretty good now and should cover most of them! Worth testing the trial yourself, as I hear more from people with issues than without of course. Tested on Wacoms, Huions, XP Pen, though some XP Pen/Huions/Surfaces still have Winink troubles I'm patching

We've released a few big free updates for Kala Paint these past weeks: Per-Layer Symmetry tool, Major fixes for non-Wacom tablets like Huions, Select Colour Range, better Gradient Maps tooling, Non-Destructible Layer Noises, optimisations and more!

Yes there are two so far, a "Moving average" and "Pulled string" that work on brushes, lasso, lasso paint

Not yet, but good ideas. The per channel editing I'll deffo be adding. Can set up any kind of custom file export like this no prob as well. Would be cool to also implement other interesting texture packing features for pipeline stuff in the future, maybe even image management pipeline scripting...

a little Kala Paint painting between coding things @kalapaint.bsky.social I added a smoothed speedup feature to the Timelapse Manager for this that everyone can now use! I used it here to make the rendering stage play 6x faster(!). A bit more fun to watch without the sketch going by in 2 frames

for resources (brushes, textures), those are .zips that can be renamed and worked with, though the brush structures themselves are compressed and would need CLI tools too

yes for paintings - I wanted to handtune the compression & speed and there's quite a lot going on. but i hate lock-in too, so CLI tools for extracting from them are coming that will kept updated/distributed freely on the site
