I've been working on a Time Shift Blur filter for Blender. AKA mistimed shutter, this happens when the camera's mechanical shutter is knocked slightly out of sync with the film advance mechanism. The filter and an accompanying tutorial are coming out soon. Stay tuned :) #b3d

Obviously, this is amazing BUT the thing I love most, is that it's directly poking fun at the desire/fetish to overanimate overlapping action & smears. Asking someone of James Baxter's calibre to *intentionally* do this (as well as mess up the spacing on a bounce) is funny in the nerdiest way.

I keep coming back to these tarot inspired mechs because I had so much fun designing them and thinking about the world they are from. I think I'm going to try and make a game about them. That way I can have my friends pilot their own make-believe-cool-robot assigned by fate.
