I edited my last episode at Tapas yesterday. I just feel so tired and empty about it all. I was an editor before Tapas and I'll continue to edit, but it truly was a great place to work. I really enjoyed working with other editors, translators, and typesetters to bring comics to new audiences!

And all that said, I'm actively looking for and am open to work. I can take on editing immediately. I work primarily in Webtoons and Webcomics, but also have novel experience and would love more. As for flatting or inking, I should have time opening up later this year.

Yes, you can! Follow your heart, Laibrook!!! We believe in you! The Bard and the Messenger is due out by the end of this month! Add it to your Goodreads or Storygraph shelf/up next 💖 It is a queer fantasy roadtrip romance with a trans protagonist 🌈🏳️‍⚧️

A graphic titled "The Bard and the Messenger." It depicts a character embracing another character from behind. He wears fantasy clothing with an instrument at his side, a flower crown on his head, and large wings open. The man he embraces wears light leather armor and holds a bow.

Some text from the book is shown near the characters, reading:

You’re supposed to be a bard, so why are words so hard?

He scribbled angrily in his journal, cursing at how difficult it was to pin down the mood of those songs.

His eyes slid across the ground again towards Einar. Those tall boots, the bit of slim-fitting black pants visible beneath his layered leather armors. Laibrook wrote “pants” in his journal and stared at it.

I can’t just write about tight pants, can I?

Alright, it was suggested to me that I actually crowdfund the out of pocket cost for the lumbar MRI since my insurance keeps denying the day before the appt even w/ it as an important order. I will have more info in the replies as well. I was honestly hesitant but... ko-fi.com/portaltohades

Right now, I'm currently in need of a lumbar MRI but due to insurance denials and other roadblocks, I may be forced to pay out of pocket. Since trying to get it twice now, my symptoms have significantly worsened over the last few months. After discussing my options with friends, I've agreed to make a kofi goal to cover the MRI, bills, transportation, and a small cushion for other necessities. Literally any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sulvain and Raziol from @kaijubean.bsky.social 's magnificent webcomic, Novae! novaecomic.com

Sulvain, a slim, pale man in his early 20s with short, curly brown hair, flowing purple trousers and a pink poet shirt, is lifting Raziol in his arms. Raziol, also a man in his early 20s, has leapt enthusiastically into his arms and is looking down into Sulvain's face in delight. Raziol has short, dark hair and brown skin, and is wearing a black, sleeveless muscle shirt, blue jeans, and white roller skates with bright red wheels. There is a huge disco ball behind them with reflections in pink, purple, gold, and white.

Happy #WebcomicDay, the best of all days. I make KEEPING TIME: a queer, slow burn, funny and bittersweet bummer of a romantic drama between bandmates with a complicated history. We're 4 chapters in and update every Tuesday! #KeepingTime #webcomics 🎸 keepingtimecomic.com

A panel from the webcomic KEEPING TIME. Denver and Daniel, two dudes in their early-mid 20s, are dressed for winter and walking away from the viewer. Daniel is laughing, and Denver asks, "...Are you laughing at my suffering? Rude, Daniel."

Page 106. Denver continues with a determined ask: "I know it's not much... but I can at least you give another stage to be on. With the band. With me." Daniel looks like a shojo protagonist as Denver finishes with the proposal, "Daniel Akutagawa. Will you sing for me again?"

A panel from the webcomic KEEPING TIME, featuring all four dudes of the Chicago indie band, Tennyson, jamming out together for the first time in their rehearsal studio. The dialogue narration reads, "...that's not lived for yourself?"
