That's it! Now go on, be wild, be free and be creative! Don't forget to tag your entries with #voctober2026! I will come and find them 🫵 If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask anytime!

Your mental and physical health are more important than a silly online challenge. You are important. The beauty in creation lies in its human imperfection. Don't forget that! So don't be afraid of unpolished, unhinged creations!

Kai Caramba 👻 @kaicaramba.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

6. I want to post fully mixed covers for every prompt RAAA!! Pop off monarch, but please take care of yourself! This challenge is for playing, not for perfection. Burnout is not fun, which Voctober is supposed to be! It is fine to skip prompts, to post imperfect sketches. [...]

Kai Caramba 👻 @kaicaramba.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

5. Am I allowed to prepare entries before October? Absolutely, which is why I'm posting the prompt list before October. Life can be stressful, so this challenge's time management is completely up to you! 💙You can also post entries once October is over!

100

Kai Caramba 👻 @kaicaramba.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

4. Can I win anything? Well, yes, but no. All you can win is my full support for every single entry I can spy with my little eye, because I'm extremely hyped for everyone's approach to each prompt! Apart from that: No, sorry.

100

Kai Caramba 👻 @kaicaramba.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

3. What song should I pick? Anything! "Abrupt" prompt? Maybe the song abruptly changes pace, vibes, instruments? Maybe it got super fast lyrics? Or maybe the song just abruptly came into your life! Don't limit your fantasy! Anything is valid if it's valid to you!

100

Kai Caramba 👻 @kaicaramba.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I think it also goes without saying that any use of generative AI (except vocal synth like SynthV or Vocaloid) in this challenge cannot be stopped, but is heavily frowned upon. This challenge is here to celebrate the beauty of human creativity free of any artificial influences.

110

Kai Caramba 👻 @kaicaramba.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

You decide how far you'll go - be it a raw acapella recording, karaoke or even a fully mixed cover! But make sure to post every entry with the hashtag #voctober2026 so it's easier for others to discover it! Not a vocalist? NO PROBLEM! Just join with the art medium of your choice [...]

100

Kai Caramba 👻 @kaicaramba.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

2. How does it work? That's the cool thing - you decide how to do this challenge for yourself! Throughout October, you get a prompt for 3 days. With that, you pick a song that comes to your mind. Then, you post a little recording of your singing with it! [...]

Kai Caramba 👻 @kaicaramba.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

1. What is Voctober? What started as my own indecisiveness for an October challenge in 2020 became an annual event meant for playing around with one's skills in any art form of their choice. While the focus lies on singing, any medium is welcome!
