Just checking in on the 1887 Yale baseball team. Amos Alonzo Stagg is the guy wearing the tie and holding a ball #cfb
Posed team portrait of the 1887 Yale baseball team, 11 white players in total, all looking forward, some directly at the camera, some off to the side. Eight of the players are wearing spectacular vertically striped blazers. Several have shirts underneat with a block Y. Only two players have a mustache, rest are clean shaven. Not much baseball equipment visible. One person is holding a catcher mask, Stagg is holding a ball, in the back someone is holding a bat. Several are holding hats, although none of them are wearing hats. All neatly groomed short hair. Painted forest backdrop. Sitting or standing on/around artifical rocks and tufts of grass.

Makes me think of this Fort Pulaski tidbit. From "Reconstruction period in Georgia" a 1916 book by the United Daughters of the Confederacy, who were trying to show the immorality of the Federals in defense of their beloved Old South that loved and cared for their slaves unlike radical abolitionists
Much cruelty was practiced upon the negro witnesses to force them to testify against the Columbus prisoners as the Radicals desired. An instrument of torture was invented, called the "sweat-box," and put in Fort Pulaski. It was just large enough to admit the victim, and was arranged by screws for compression, so that a force could be brought upon the prisoner sufficient to squeeze the breath out of him. The box was also provided with a steam apparatus, connected with it by pipes. By simply turning a faucet, jets of steam were thrown into it until the heat became unbearable. Three witnesses suffered this torture, one of whom was a negro. He, poor soul, cried out in a few minutes, that he would swear anything if they would only let him out of that box.

Wayyyy late to this. Such a neat idea by @leiaham.bsky.social. Looked thru the rest of her work, very talented at building fantasy worlds and areas that have a great sense of place
Digital painting showing a cutaway aerial view of a witch's kitchen. The front wall is missing, which gives us a full view of a lush room full of objects. Stone fireplace in the corner with a cauldron. Next to it is a manual pump for water into a sink full of dirty dishes. Wood table with bird feet. Hanging herbs and animals strung along the walls. Various skulls. A colorful persian style rug on the floor. Broom, basket, sheaths of wheat I think. Bird cage. Potions in glass jars. Green crystal ball. Vegetables in a bowl.Very colorful. The sun is shining through a window.

This is all I can think of when I see this - the failed cocaine Hawk redesign from back in the day, probably will be equally successful
Two Iowa Hawkeyes tigerhawk logos side by side. Left one is the traditional one, which has been in use for decades. It is a somewhat abstract side view of a smooth bird's head, while the right one was an attempted redesign that was quickly abandoned. That version gave the hawk a bunch of spiky feathers and a more aggressive beak and eye. Fans hated it.

Looking through old football programs and I've always liked this one for the 1944 Army vs Navy game. Need more watercolor #cfb programs please and thank you collectableivy.com/collectible-...
1944 Army Navy game football program showing a detailed watercolor painting (I think) of the Army mule and Navy goat mascots glaring at each other on the field. They are wearing full football uniforms with humanoid bodies but their hands are hooves and their feet hooves are in black cleats. The Army mule is holding a portable walkie in his hand. The Navy goat is holding a paper labeled "Special Orders Open At Kickoff".

Army mule is wearing tan pants, white long sleeve jersey, gray helmet. Biceps have three horizontal stripes: black, gray, gold. Navy goat is wearing gold pants with partial blue stripes on leg sides. Blue jersey with thick gold stripe on bicep. Their bodies are facing us but their eyes are looking sideways at each other. There is a ref in the middle of them, but off in the distance. Behind the ref are simple shapes of the Navy team sitting on a bench.

The top has small type reading: BALTIMORE STADIUM DECEMBER 2, 1944.. Bottom reads: ARMY - NAVY in bigger black type.

Never in a million years did I think Brock Purdy would ever be mentioned, even in passing, in these kind of stories #bluecy
San Francisco 49ers

In: WR Mike Evans, RB Christian McCaffrey, OT Trent Williams

Evans and Williams are easy first-ballot selections. McCaffrey has struggled with injuries, but he has had multiple seasons as the best RB in the league and plays a position that the Hall is always looking to appreciate.

On the cusp: TE George Kittle, LB Fred Warner

Kittle is right on the borderline of being a lock, having made seven Pro Bowls over his past eight pro campaigns before he tore his right Achilles last postseason. I'd vote for Kittle given his dominance as a blocker and four 1,000-yard seasons, but tight ends can go underappreciated by the Hall at times. One more substantial season would push Kittle, 32, to the "lock" side of things. I'd argue the same for Warner, who had four first-team All-Pro nods over a five-year span before his own serious injury a year ago.

Work to do: Edge Nick Bosa, QB Brock Purdy

Bosa has a Defensive Player of the Year award to his name, but a pair of September ACL tears have essentially cost the 2019 first-round pick two of his seven pro seasons. He needs another great season and a couple more Pro Bowl-caliber campaigns to get back on the Hall track. Purdy's efficiency has slipped since that dramatic 2023 campaign, and he has suffered meaningful injuries in three of his four pro seasons.

In the Neiman story, AI error w/ shooter's motivation was only caught by Russian language experts. By only giving the experts snippets, the reporters are relying on the fact that AI translated and correctly "flagged" other sections without missing a beat. What if the experts read it all instead? 7/
Rather than sending the entire AI-generated translation to a professional, reporters flagged important passages for review by two Russian language academics at the nearby St. Olaf College. For the most part, the AI-generated translations were correct, but the academics found a few errors, including a passage that misrepresented the shooter’s potential motivation.

If it weren’t for the help of AI translation, Scheck says the Tribune would probably have hired a translator to go through the documents from the beginning, slowing down their turnaround time. Instead, the triaged translations informed an initial story on the manifesto the night of the attack and contributed significantly to a profile of the shooter published four days later. Both stories were a part of the coverage that won the Star Tribune a Pulitzer in the Breaking News category.

“AI allowed us to take a first pass on the content and then prioritize what we [might] use,” he said. “We know we have to run the marathon, but AI helped us start at mile marker five instead of at the traditional starting line.”

This incredible print was created to commemorate the 1909 Pittsburgh Pirates team, which won the World Series for the first time in team history. Two victims = Cubs (2nd place) and NY Giants (3rd) managers LOC has it in a much bigger size: www.loc.gov/pictures/ite...
Sepia drawing of the side of a pirate ship with the entire "Pittsburg" Pirates team scattered among the ship, hanging off the edge, in the sails, dangling off ropes, etc. Some famous names among them, including Honus Wagner. Name and position written next to each of them. Ship is bobbing in wavy water, some foam along the hull. Bottom right corner has block letters reading PITTSBURG PIRATES CHAMPIONS NATIONAL LEAGUE 1909. The players' bodies are drawn, but the heads are cut out from actual photos and most have drawn bandanas on top. They look like bobbleheads.

There is a large head floating in the waves, eyes covered with a bandana. It appears to be Frank Chance, the Chicago Cubs player manager. The Cubs finished second in the NL. On the plank is, I believe, New York Giants manager John McGraw, his eyes covered and arms tied behind his back. The Giants finished a distant third. #sportshistory #archives #mlb

Here's a page from the Castlevania NES game. Especially love the cheap markers look, you know the type that never blended evenly
Hand drawn diagram of a level from the NES Castlevania game. It stretches across two pages of a book and shows the path of our hero through the castle and landscape, which have been sliced open to show each of the individual rooms/screens. All around the illustration are inset boxes with various comments and tips about different parts of the castle. Some examples include: "C - Simon can't be knocked off stairs. This can be useful during crow attacks" accompanied by a illustration showing a grimacing Simon beseiged by two bats. "7 - KNEEL!" accompanied by an illustration showing blocks and a staircase with an downward arrow above one of the blocks. Also has circle icons showing creatures like mummies and food items with a line pointing to where they are located on the map.

It was colored with markers, not fancy ones, but rather the cheap ones we used as kids that easily left behind overlapping marks and never colored evenly. Makes the whole thing look charming and 1000000% miles away from AI.

Really interesting data on incoming Iowa State #bluecy QB Jaylen Raynor by @alexkirshner.com, must read the rest. Seems like it's gonna be a wild season
The senior fits the gunslinging mold and is sometimes too aggressive for his own good, as evidenced by a 4.8% pickable pass rate that translated to a whopping 23 pickable balls last year. According to Opta data, he was fortunate to “only” throw 11 interceptions. That might seem contradictory with the well-thrown ball rate, but what it really says about Raynor is that he is either extremely sharp or downright destructive to his team’s chances.

Random pic from the National Archives- Naismith's first college basketball team in 1891. This is the first time I've seen the actual peach baskets on both sides of the men, wasn't expecting them to look like that
Black and white photo showing nine college students wearing dark long sleeve shirts and light pants. They are sitting in three rows around James Naismith, who is wearing a three piece suit, in the middle. Eight out of the ten men have full mustaches. Some are looking directly at the camera while others look off to the side (which was the convention at the time). The student next to Naismith is holding a basketball, which is a leather ball with seams sticking outward. On both sides there appear to be metal baskets, about two feet high, which I assume are the peach baskets famously used in the earliest games.

Original caption: Dr. James Naismith (Wearing Suit), a Springfield College instructor and basketball’s inventor. He is with the “First Team”. The first game was played in 1891 in fulfillment of an assignment given to Naismith to create a game that could be played indoors between the football and baseball seasons, Source: Springfield College.

Been waiting for this one. Great Big 12 preview. Lots of detailed info. Interesting #bluecy tidbit from the top 10 transfers list
WR Omari Hayes, Iowa State. There are lots of proven QBs in this league, and the portal evidently brought lots of exciting receivers as well. Typically, anything above 2.0 yards per route is a good average; Hayes averaged 3.0 last season at Tulane. He averaged 13.2 yards per catch despite primarily running shorter routes, and he didn't suffer his first drop of the season until the American Conference title game.

Four versions of the cursive AMAZONIA logo, which is a twisting logo that meanders across the screen. The captial A is formed by a river curve with an island in the middle. The m is formed by three tight curves. The z is the largest letter anchoring the middle, a giant swoop that looks like a large 2 or backwards S. The o is similar to the A, except with two islands in the middle forming a circle. The n is like the m, several tight curves. The i is a very sharp vertical curve very close together that looks similar to a cursive i.

The four different versions have the same logo, but are surrounded by different art and designs and bright colors, each by a different artist. One has indigenous geometric vibes. Another is plant and animal oriented. Last two are a mixture of people, plants, food.

The set is perhaps 3 feet by 3 feet, a DSLR camera on a tripot pointed towards the set and various clamps, wires, microphones and lights are attached to poles out of sight of the camera. It's very charming and real.

The Atlanta Constitution (July 12, 1987) said "God of Homers" was thinking about retiring based on how much money he was making in Japan. He ended up returning to MLB in 1988 but that was his final year in baseball. Photos perfectly sum up his career of injuries 4/5 Repeated article x3 for full ALT
"God of Homers" suddenly becomes just a mere mortal

By Ed Hinton
Staff Writer

Bob Horner, his early home run pace long cooled in Japan's Central League, has settled into mere-mortal status in the eyes of fans who earlier this season called him "the god of homers."

"It's basically just a season how," Horner, formerly of the Atlanta Braves, said from his Tokyo apartment. "Travel and play, travel and play."

After hitting six home runs in his first six games with the Tokyo based Yakult Swallos, Horner now only has 16 home runs in 43 games, and those numbers won't change for at least a week. Horner, often criticized for his injury proneness with the Braves, pulled a muscle in his back on Saturday while swining at a pitch and will be sidelined for 7 to 10 days, team officials said.

This is Horner's first injury of the season. But already gone was the early-season Japanese media ballyhoo speculating he would hit 100 home runs, obliterating Sadaharu Oh's single-season record of 55, due partly to the shorter fences in Japanese ballparks.

Horner, batting .321, is no longer among league leaders in any offensive categories. He is 9th in home runs. Two American players, Randy Bass and Rich Lancelloti, lead in homers with 24 and 23. Two other Americans, Carlos Ponce (19) and Warren Cromartie (18) - also have more.

Hiromitsu Ochiai, the Japanese slugger who vowed not to lose the triple crown to Bass this year but doubted he could outdo Horner, has 20 homers.

Last month, Horner said, he saw further evidence that no foreign player is going to be allowed to break an Oh record in Japan.

"Lancelloti had homered in seven straight games coming into a game against our team," Horner said. "The Japanese record, held by Oh, is eight straight games. Our pitchers walked Lancelloti four times in the game."

After his big start, Horner began to see ultra-cautious pitching and simply couldn't get anything to hit. That, plus the fact that Bass twice has neared Oh's single-season home run record only to be served impossible pitches to hit, made Horner realize early that he wouldn't break the record.

And now? "I'll put it this way:

I'm still not getting anything to hit," Horner said. "It's eased up a little, but still, you simply don't get fastballs here. The few you do get are so low or so far outside they're unhittable."

Meanwhile, back in the American major leagues, where the homer fest continues amid speculation about a souped-up ball and a drop-off in pitching effectiveness, many players have hit more home runs than Horner has in Japan. Most of those players have played in roughly twice as many games as Horner, but are clearing fences that average 40 feet deeper to every field.

Horner has 45 hits in 140 at bats, with 30 RBI. He has struck out 38 times and walked 30 times.

His wife, Chris, and their two sons have joined him in Tokyo.

"They're doing OK," Horner said.

"They've seen a lot and done a lot they never would have had the opportunity to do if I weren't playing here. But when October rolls around, they're going to be anxious to get home. Three months is going to be enough for them."

Still riding the national popularity gained by his start, Horner has entered the endorsements market. A television and print media campaign for Suntory beer has already brought him an estimated $350,000.

And he has signed with Zett sporting goods - "in much the same way a player in the States would sign with Wilson or Rawlings" - in a deal that will bring him an estimated $50,000 as well as supplying his equipment.
"We're in the process now of looking into other (commercial en-dorsement) areas," he said. "The endorsements market here is much, much better than in the States." Horner said earlier this season that he might come away from Japan with enough money to retire at age 30 - he is now 29 - but said Friday that "I haven't made up my mind what I'm going to do."As to whether he might playrin
Japan again next season, "They (Swallows management) have made it very clear they want me to stay," Horner said. "But we haven't discussed it monetarily."
This season's contract package is believed to be worth about $2 million to Horner, and all of his living expenses are being paid by the club.
The media deluge, which was his biggest burden upon arrival in Japan, now "comes and goes," he said. "I still can't go home or to the airport or to the train stations without them. And if you do well in a game, they're all over you."

Article also has three pictures showing Horner in the act of swinging, first shows him nearly fully extended. Second shows him standing up with his left arm grabbing his back in pain. Third shows him kneeling over in pain, the bat being used as a cane.

The Suntory campaign is from 1987, which is when Horner played for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows due to MLB owner collusion. Horner made a record $350,000 for this ad, which topped Randy Bass (a scrub MLB player who later won the triple crown in Japan twice) shaving his beard on Japanese TV 2/5
Newspaper article from The Times-Union, Tuesday, Sep 08, 1987:

Don't be surprised if ex-Atlanta Braves slugger Bob Horner plays at least another summer in Japan. In addition to his $2-million salary, he recently set a Japanese baseball endorsement record by making a commercial for Suntory Beer for $350,000. The previous record was the $200,000 Randy Bass received frrom [sic] Gillette in 1986 for shaving off his beard on Japanese network TV.Randy Bass, a white man with blond hair and bushy beard. Was looking something up and came across historical ski jumping in Chicago artsandculture.google.com/story/fwVheE...
Black and white photo of a ski jumper floating mid-jump on their way down the ramp. He is standing straight up, arms thrust downward, skis pointed up at a 45 degree angle. Dark uniform in, I'm guessing, natural fabrics. At the bottom we can see the narrow landing area of snow, surrounded by grass. Off in the misty distance is Field Museum, since the stadium wasn't bowled in at this time. A portion of the Soldier Field stands are visible on the right. On the left is a gaggle of reporters and observers on top of a tower watching.

Photo caption:

Soldier Field hosted its first Chicago ski tournament in 1936. For that event, a 13-story tall ski jump was constructed, the world’s tallest manmade ski jump at the time. This was increased to 180 feet for the 1937 and 1938 competitions.

Beautifully spun words by @thelitcritguy.bsky.social My spouse worked on a show and would run into Fallon from time to time and felt he was one of the most insecure people she ever met Cavett clip w/ the iconic Baldwin is great too. "They want me to become an accomplice to my own murder"
Snippet of attached story reads:

The peak of this banal nightmare arrived only recently when Sam Altman, the serene architect of our contemporary algorithmic enclosure, sat across from Fallon to discuss the most intimate of human labors: the rearing of a child, and how he simply couldn’t imagine raising his newborn baby without the “help” of ChatGPT. With the flat, bloodless affect of a man who has already priced in the end of the world, Altman described using ChatGPT as a parental surrogate. Unlike with Hilton, here the audience is deathly quiet. As Altman offers up the future of his own offspring to the black box of his company’s large language model, Fallon’s grin never wavers. It is the ultimate Gothic inversion: the living child is transformed into a data set to be optimized, while the host performs a pantomime of joy to mask the sound of a tomb clicking shut.

The beginning of the hill starts roughly near the goal post and stretches towards the sideline, quick estimate is perhaps 30 feet across. There's even a little staircase of 5 steps up the hill. As was the practice in that era, the goalpost is on the end zone line, not at the back. Majority of players are seen through the goal post in the middle of a play that appears to be a drop kick. A ref wearing a white longsleeve shirt and dark pants is staring intently at the players. Behind the offensive players are two men wearing suits, not clear what they're doing there. A small crowd of people is standing all around the field.

got a screenshot from the game
Spencer Hall with a photoshopped Emory jersey standing in the corner of a room reading a magazine while a bunch of people crowd around Drew Brees in the other side of the room. Spencer is reading a magazine intently. He has a big beard.

fixing college sports is simple, require all schools to use vintage cartoon mascots in various outfits and poses (ebay link in alt)

This was just a fabulous story by @billoram.bsky.social about how former U of South Carolina #cfb star RB Marcus Lattimore (you know, the one who had his knee explode) moved to Portland to become a poet www.oregonlive.com/sports/2025/...
Marcus Lattimore, a young Black man, sits outside on red brick steps while looking directly at the camera. He has a neutral, somewhat bemused slight smile. Right arm draped across his knees, left arm resting under his chin. Gray tee shirt, tan pants.

Screenshot of 2002 March Madness Elite Eight game between Michigan State and Iowa State. Score is ISU - 61, MSU - 60. Two refs in bottom corner are in the middle of a disagreement, one is showing the charge signal, the other is showing the block signal. (The ISU player was scoring a layup when the MSU player moved underneath him while the ISU player was in the air.) The refs decided the solution was to keep both a charge and a block as the called fouls, which meant the ISU player fouled out and ISU had to replace him with an oompa loompa with no jumpshot)

Love all the little sight gags. Need more Halloween movies like this. Stop motion works so well with this genre imo
Screenshot from stop motion trailer showing a costume storefront with three Halloween outfits in the front window, a vampire, mummy, and death itself. The top of the store has a sign: CARNIVAL COSTUMES in yellow with green background. In between the words is a clown face and red balloon. The surrounding wood is purple. Hanging next to the front door is a small human skeleton. On the sidewalk is a man that just fell from a ladder. His face is covered by a red banner he was trying to hang up. One arm is thrust upward in pain. Next to him is a plump old lady with a startled expression. The remaining hanging banner has nearly fallen off, but only the letters OW are still visible.

Also, last year Filmmaker magazine did a long interview with Coogler about Sinners and he spoke about how diversity and accessibility made the film stronger filmmakermagazine.com/130482-inter...
At the same time, you just gotta make it true, man. Take a filmmaker like Bong [Joon Ho]. I’ll argue that Parasite is his most Korean movie. It’s the one that connected with global audiences. In this day and age, everybody on the same Internet, we’re so connected that I think it’s almost more important to make it as specific as possible, and make sure that you have a diverse group of filmmakers on it, so that if something pops up somebody can say something. Because English is his second language, Sev is great at being in the mix and saying, “I don’t know if I understand that.” And it’s like, “All right, how can we get this more clear?” Zinzi was a full time ASL sign language interpreter. She’s got hard-of-hearing family members. So, for her it’s advocacy to make sure that we put in closed captions in cinemas. Listening to the dubs, the translations, supervising the subtitles, we’re all over that.

ISU got some great news from this game tho. Killyan Toure broke out of his long, horrific freshman slump in a BIG way. Two days ago, he made his first 3PT in almost a month. Today was his first game with two+ 3PT since Jan 24th. His elite defense = Sweet 16, but w/ 3PT, Final Four? #bluecy

Looking at the variations of # 24, while the A is on top w/ initial overlap, thickness of the U makes it look like University of Auburn. IMO it looks backwards so I reversed it and also made the type weight thinner. Not perfect but feels better More here: www.thewareaglereader.com/2017/07/that...
Reversed interlocked logo concept for Auburn University. This version has serif letters with the navy A overlapping the U at first, then the back part of the U overlaps the A on the right. The A is thicker at first, the U thicker at the end. The A straddles the bottom curve of the U.

Love this picture. WSU has more of Matsura's stuff: content.libraries.wsu.edu/digital/coll...
Black and white photo by Frank Matsura: Four Indigenous women, including Josephine Carden and Camille Marchand, and a baby pose on horseback in front of Okanogan’s Bureau Hotel, circa 1909.

The four dark horses are lined up in a row and a large dark dog stands sideways in front. The four women all have their lips tightly pressed together, some with a hint of amusement, while others look serious and prideful. They are wearing a mix of Victorian clothing and indigenous pieces. The two women on both ends appear to be teenagers. The women on the third horse from the left is holding the baby in front.

They look strong, confident, very comfortable on the horses.

The hotel is three stories. The first two stories have a wrap around porch with thin columns and a railing composed of many vertical pieces of wood. This fencing design is somewhat echoed on the ceiling of the second floor porch. The third floor has a series of gabled dormer windows. In the middle of the front facade is a tower that appears to stretch for four floors and may be a clock tower, although the top portion appears to be under construction still.

Never heard of this game, it's quite something. Contra + football + pinball + gold watches + pianos + vampires? Yes. Longplay video here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qgjj...
Early 1990s Nitro Ball game poster illustration (game was named Gun Ball in this art). Two cartoonishly muscular white military men with guns are shooting towards us and a gathered group of villains at the forefront of the poster including a vampire, muscular armored creature with a retro white hockey goalie mask, and a blue alien with gaping maw full of jagged teeth. The top has the GUN BALL logo with the capital G much bigger than the remaining letters and two thick white horizonal lines stretching from the G above and below the UN BALL. Pink background, green field that resembles a football field. Mixture of Japanese and English writing. Slogan is "Survive each hair-raising world to become the Master of the Playfield!"

Bottom is the DATA EAST CORPORATION logo, which is white caps DECO letters in a red rectangle.

Just remembering the time David Kenyon Webster of Easy Company, 101st Airborne wrote in a letter to his parents about how Nazi Germany needed a complete and total dismantling or it would happen again
“I cannot understand why you hope for a quick end of the war. Unless we take the horror of battle to Germany itself, unless we fight in their villages, blowing up their houses, smashing open their wine cellars, killing some of their livestock for food, unless we litter their streets with horribly rotten German corpses as was done in France, the Germans will prepare for war, unmindful of its horrors. Defeat must be brought into Germany itself before this mess can come to a proper end; a quick victory now, a sudden collapse, will leave the countryside relatively intact and the people thirsty for revenge. I want the war to end as quickly as anybody wishes, but I don't want the nucleus of another war left whole.”

run the damn ball
Color cartoon illustration of Bubsy, a humanoid orange bobcat, running through a space scene cradling a ball of yarn under his right arm with his left arm thrust outward kinda like the heisman. He has a large smile with a solid block of white teeth, one eye is closed in a wink and the other looks straight at us. He is wearing a white long sleeve shirt with a giant red exclamation point on his chest.

Behind him are floating orange aliens with drooping cheek jowels, tiny necks, and bulbous bodies. They have three antennas, red noses and quizzical expressions. Balls of yarn, red and green, float in the air as mini planets and also serve as the top of floating silver saucers. A sparkling dark galaxy is in the distance. In the top left corner is a white duck, wings flapping to keep up with Bubsy. The duck is wearing an old timey aviator helmet with googles. Very colorful illustration.

Wanted to post this image with ALT since I'm seeing it elsewhere without and oh yeah abolish ICE (etc)
Two DHS agents in full tactical gear stand menacingly in the steet in front of a gathered crowd of concerned citizens that are facing them while standing on the sidewalk corner. Our eye is drawn to the young white woman in the middle, who is wearing only a light green bathrobe and gray slippers, although it is a cold winter day in St. Paul. She is filming them with her phone with a determined look on her face. Around her are other men and women, all wearing winter coats. Some are filming the agents or the incident behind them with their phones, others are just watching, they look like normal people with soft fabrics, water bottles, fuzzy stocking caps, concerned looks. Another white woman on the left edge of the photo is wearing a neon green vest on top of her winter coat and her mouth is agape in horror as she films the unseen incident in the intersection.

The two agents are closer to the camera and the left one is standing away from us facing the crowd so we can only see his backside, while the right one is standing perpendicular facing the other agent, so we can see his entire left side and his face covered by a black mask. The agents are wearing all kinds of military gear, camo, olive fabric, tactical bulletproof fests, helmets, cameras, guns, cargo pants, pepper spray.

Yet another image showing the stark difference between brave people with no protection standing tall against armored militarized cowards. A bathrobe vs bullets.

still thinking about this vibrant 30 year old man from Jurassic Park
From the upcoming Jurassic Park Super Bowl commerical, a blurry shot of Jeff Goldblum's face looking at us with a heavily lined pale face that is theoretically 30 years old, but looks fresh out of the nursing home with box hair dye. Horrible AI deepfake

Another unusual #bluecy design spotted today, appears to be from the 1970s-80s. Not sure fi Cy is breaking out or into prison to take vengeance
Shirt graphic showing Iowa State's bird mascot Cy breaking through metal bars with the slogan BEWARE OF CYCLONES. He is looking straight at us with an angry expression, teeth clenched. One foot is stretched straight towards us as he steps across the threshold of the window. His arms are pulling apart two center metal bars to admit his full body. On the edges of the opening are indications of brick.

Above Cy it says BEWARE OF in black caps letter, then below graphic it says CYCLONES in red caps letters. Font is a stencil-type kind. To the right of Cy, on our left, is a cursive Iowa State logo with Iowa stacked on top of State and a trailing line underlining State. Looks like a Baseball style logo.

random vintage #bluecy logo for your needs
Close up of a 1955 Iowa State football schedule card showing Cy on top of a tornando. Background is white. Print and logos is combo of red and black and white. On the left it says 19, then on the right it says 55. Cy a humanoid cardinal bird with red feathers, white beak and white legs/shoes. He is looking at us with hands on his hip slightly turned to his right. On his chest is ISC in arched white lettering. He has a pleased, slightly smug look on his face. Same hightops in other Cy logos. Bottom says IOWA STATE in thin black font.

The tornado behind him is plump with many red and black cylindrical lines and the perspective is stretching away from us on the ground. The tail tapers off to the left.
