Prismatic Stars fic promo graphic

In a world intertwined
By Midori
With the passing time, Kaeya began looking forward to "sleep".
It was still hard to tell if he was asleep while in Diluc's space. Perhaps, it was a liminal consciousness, like everything about that place--an in-between of reality and dreams. When Kaeya fell "asleep" in his visits, he would either awake in the mural room and have to actually sleep (and that was when the nightmares crawled in, of Khaenri'ah burning. Of his mother's screams) or he would sleep dreamless and wake up refreshed. He didn't understand it.
All he knew, however, was that Diluc's presence brought him comfort; the gentle voice soothed his loneliness, and the polite yet curious questions they asked made Kaeya ponder over things aside from loss and grief. He naturally sought that more than what his nightmares had to offer.
Diluc asked about the world beyond Vindagnyr--whether the skies were still blue somewhere, whether the trees held fruits or flowers blanketed the grounds. Innocent curiosities from a soul long isolated from the world.
