- a series of switches must be touched so that it makes a valid expression
- if the exp equals the target, the flag activates
- goes in left to right order instead of PEMDAS
- flag is set to some integer target

i think one recurring sentiment that has appeared in my head while mapping is that your first map isn't going to be the mona lisa. i look at map_making and see really good stuff there (i don't even have embed perms yet) and realize this is the first mod i've ever made. it's not going to be perfect.
