Trying a new recipe today: crockpot beef stroganoff. I have a chuck roast, mushrooms, and onions simmering away all day with assorted spices (mostly thyme) and vegetable stock, and when I get home tonight I'll shred the beef, skim the fat, and stir in some sour cream and fresh parsley.

So New House has a fireplace, but only in the basement. That's the room I'm going to use as my office. The current owners use it as a gym. The fireplace is HIDEOUS. I took a pic while I was there for the inspection because it's that bad. The brick is fake: brick slices glued over black "mortar".
