i don’t think some americans understand the degree people outside their borders have to watch US domestic politics because of how US decisions can have significant consequences for us. i hope we can reach a place where we don’t have to worry about that, in the way americans never do about us.

my biggest career tip is to consider for each project/piece you do: is this to earn money or is this for my sanity. it is a fine line but the boundaries must be set! if its for money u TURN ON "i am a worker hired by a client" and if its for ur sanity u turn that off and turn on "owooga booga"

An anecdotal guideline on how I like to post art on Bluesky! This is what works for me, it might not be 100% solid so use it with a grain of salt 🙏 #arttips #artsky
A guide with recommendations on what size and format to post art in on Bluesky.

Bluesky converts images to JPEG/JPG so it is recommended to use your own software to export your art as JPEG/JPG. This is to avoid Bluesky's rough format conversion.

The minimum size seems to be 900 pixels on both the width and height dimensions with a maximum of 2000 pixels likewise.

The recommended size seems to be between 1200 pixels to 1800 pixels on both sides.

For pixel art, it is recommended to post exactly in 900 pixels or 1200 pixels for the width.

This is because the width seems to be the most important for pixel art online display.

Additional Notes:
The maximum is 2000 pixels, but recommended to keep below this to avoid possible compression.

Applying a "unsharpen mask" at 10% strength helps with image clearness.

To keep your art safe, do not upload in anything more than 72dpi.

The image shows five stylized busts of the same character, a mixed African and Asian woman with long medium-thickness braids, arranged in a 2x2 grid. Each bust represents a different level of stylization, progressing from realistic to more abstract:

- Most left: The most realistic representation, showing detailed facial features, hairstyle, and shading.
- Second left: A slightly simplified version, with less detailed features but still recognizable as the same person.
- Middle: Another variation of a simplified version, with less detailed features but still recognizable as the same person.
- Second right: A more stylized version with exaggerated features, using bolder lines and shading.
- Most right: The most stylized version with exaggerated features and line word.

All five versions maintain key characteristics of the character, such as her hairstyle and general facial structure, allowing for a clear comparison of the stylization process. The background is plain white and blank, focusing attention on the character designs. The character is rendered in natural brown tones, to describe her skin tone, as well as various deep shades of blueish purple for all the darker tones in the images, such as lines, hair, eyes. The latter busts also utilize various shades of yellows and reds to describe the planes of the face.

The image shows four stylized busts of the same character, a young mixed African and Asian man, arranged in a 2x2 grid. Each bust represents a different level of stylization, progressing from realistic to more abstract:

- Most left: The most realistic representation, showing detailed facial features, hair texture, and shading.
- Second left: A slightly simplified version, with less detailed features but still recognizable as the same person.
- Second right: A more stylized version with exaggerated features, using bolder lines and less shading.
- Most right: The most abstract and “cartoonish” representation, using minimal lines and shapes to suggest the character's features.

All four versions maintain key characteristics of the character, such as his hairstyle and general facial structure, allowing for a clear comparison of the stylization process. The background is plain white and blank, focusing attention on the character designs. The lines and all the “blacked-out” elements are done in periwinkle while the character’s skin is filled in with light warm brown - his natural skin tone.

A comic-style illustration features two characters: a mixed African and Asian woman and an Asian woman of similar age, both in simple attire. The latter chatters away, her words depicted as large, overlapping bubbles of incomprehensible letters and characters—a visual representation of information the first character can't process. In the final panels, computer-like prompts announce a "system shutdown." Browser tabs, stacked and overlapping, convey a sense of mental clutter and overwhelm. The colour palette primarily uses shades of blue and purple, with striking accents of orange and yellow.

This illustration employs the familiar concept of browser tabs as a metaphor for the myriad thoughts and incoming information that can simultaneously occupy one's mind, portraying mental stress and information overload.

Sharing my free Xerox Pencil brush for Clip Studio Paint here! There are also dupes of it for Procreate and ToonBoom. For an extra crunchy look like in the 2nd pic of my character Louise, rasterize the layer and then revectorize it. Download: lookssketchy.neocities.org #art
A cropped screencap of a website that says "Looks Sketchy - Just sharing art things by Chance Kubesh" at the top. Below the site title is a subheader that says "Xerox Pencil - a brush for Clip Studio Paint" with an example drawing of an anime girl using the brush. It looks gritty as if photocopied.A cropped image of two images of a busty 90s anime-style lady, named Louise, using the Xerox Pencil brush. Yes, her back hurts.

You recently wrote to us with questions regarding AI training on Twitter.
Here are some details we would like to share:
