I was watching The Crow (the original one) while working on a painting... and I couldn't shake the idea that it would probably be less cheesy if it were an anime. So I doodled it. Hehe. I can't be the only one who thinks this, right?? #illustration #fanart #digitalart #Crow

In “The Two Towers”, brobbits Frodo and Sam discuss the length of their elven rope; Sam estimates it to be about “thirty ells, more or less”. I love this word because 1) I don’t know shit about textiles, so LotR is the only place I’ve seen it, and 2) shows how extra Tolkien-sensei is with his deets

Poem 3 from “A hundred old verses from old Japan” by Hito-Maru. Written over 1300 years ago by a J-nobleman, its understated melancholy remains beautiful and relatable across centuries… I find the translation clunkier than the OG, but I still appreciate the effort! #poem #book #supportyourlibrary

That’s because “META” is short for “METASTASIZE”: its true underlying goal for all of its internet services.

The #FaeOfTheDay (yeah, it’s officially a thing! Hehe) 2.5 hours. This is my first time drawing in my big girl watercolor book instead of my sketchbook. Finally got up the nerve haha. How’d I do? I’m getting the hang of #watercolor again. #illustration #sketchbook #traditionalArt #blackartist

Officially working on a big game project next year satirizing the skuzzy nature of capitalism! I’m doing all the art for it. 😱 Gonna need a lot of moral support lol! Literally drawing art for over 100 cards PLUS original art! First character design! #illustration #characterDesign #sketchbook

lol it’s literally a sketch that the artist is not selling. And why so rude? Are you feeling overwhelmed by white guilt about helping Trump get elected with your abrasive mannerism, and now you have to try to shit on POC artists more talented than you to take the edge off?

Consider Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai” and Tolkien’s “Fellowship of the Ring”. Both: -released in 1954 -capture an island nation’s ethos -depict a band facing overwhelming odds -massively influential Maybe world leaders finna speedrun WW3 for overdue renaissance of survivors-turned-seminal artists

It’s useful to have differentiation for game balance purposes. TTRPG attributes are good examples of this, as is MTG’s color pie. Otherwise choices become less interesting. Anecdotally: used to do kyudo (日本のarchery). I attest to the fact that accurately shooting a bow takes way more Dex than Str.

Correct; and it is the spiritual descendent of “flyting”, an ancient practice of exchanging insults through poetic verse. Fuckin Loki was flyting with Thor in the poem “Hárbarðsljóð”. RAP BATTLES ARE ETERNAL.
