2hrs from post- ty for the likes! Scroll and you'll miss it, this oois not game jam pace. Added a tile selecter under mouse and an indicator for selected guy, second part no biggie. Done it twice before. First part required Copilot, can't escape it. Now for movemement and restricting it.

#Godot (4.6.2) #GameDev Recently got a kick for tactics, playing Fire Emblem Heroes, W40K Tacticus, and Sword of Convallaria. Got the naviagation in and the tileset and the basic background noise and two guys, but now I want to be able to click on a guy and see travable terrain. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Windows on windows to a world with similar colors to ours, a majestic feat, yet is that all tech leads to? Dreams of making more Gaia? Maybe...

In operands, the globe here is flat in dimension and sprawled over a plaintext sphere. Light forms a cresent as the globe spins.

Also to the left is the nodelist: A parent MeshInstance, children; a Cam3D, a subviewport ccontainer containing the 2d world as 4 different layers. There are more nodes, but they arem't part of the story yet.

My accomplishment for the new year new Godot. 2D thing -> 3D gizmo :Contains alt text!

a blurry bee, there are some zombies in swamps nearby, of cousre: thats where zombies go.

all this is nested in the newewst Godot 4.6.0 UI.

The story: 30 minutes ago inspiration struck, as it does to me at night, so I got to work and made a new project. Suddenly that new thing needed to be 3d so i openedd up Blockbench and Godot. Then I just before that got anywhere I downloaded my Minecraft ghoul sikn to play with. I managed to getthat into Blockbench, but one of the armms was missing textures since that used to be mirrored, anywya.

I took my NoiseWorldGen2D (feel free to look that up on Githyb ir yirtube) and made it 3d> will take hours of tinkering to look right, this is the 30 minute result. I will not be asking an AI for help, uunless it can lead me to pasture.

worldbuilding, but not reddit interesting enough for r/worldbuilding this is technically the same thing I had 6 years ago, but now its outta storage hell. im unsure if i saved kris and co from storage hell, copied something and then got tired and formatted. oh well...🤖 #Godot4

2-dimensional world, very flat, very round. no attempt to wrap around. Performance ain't great. There are some tricks I can do, but sometimes you may wanna show the player the whole planet. Ascend the heroo and wotnot. In the middle there is a contrast of orange and blue: the valve's portal colors; the blue starts bright at the coast of the orange and becomes very dark. All over this world there are strange contrasts of color. Lacks clouds so not entirely akin to what you'd see froom orbit. To the outer portiion of thhe picutre, you can see the Godot 4.5.1 editor.

Man choosing not to research a tech that cancels the effects of a wonder has wonderous effects. Never seen that much in Civ 2

Glorious Star City, where the data shines like diamonds in the net. Currently producing 70 data, and is going through a celebration with 9 / 14 happy citizens. The city numbers in the million. And there is currently an Interceptor, Iron Maiden, Bolter, and Ophion guarding. Just built is the Great Games, which brought the city into celebrations. With benefit of the buildings in the city, it produces 56 taxes, 14 entertainment, and 52 science. It also produces 16 material with the option to produce 3 more, but currently it's kinda too close to pollution start.

Progress 1: Shader Fun It was awful until I added an additional path at the start for transparency. All the solutions on Shader Library were glanced over til I got this working. (Replaces black and white with different colors, planning on status effects and animations doing that.)
