from the moment I saw @spiderkaiku.bsky.social 's character I wanted to draw her, she's so cute! but it took three months, and her design changed before I was done ꉂ(≧▽≦ ) I might be a slow artist :) was a lot of fun, though! and the new design's cute, too!

I guess I like designing spider characters... since it's October, here's Maren, based on a Marbled Orb Weaver (Araneus Marmoreus), also known as the Pumpkin Spider for reasons not evident in a grayscale drawing : / (they're very large, round, and bright orange)

a very large spider woman watches you nervously;
she has big, thick glasses because she can't see very well

it was a challenge fitting her onto such a small piece of paper, have to draw her properly at some point

some shots of the Metal Earth International Space Station model I finished last night, after four streams and almost a day of building (but mostly chatting) totaled the time for the streams and it's 22 hours, 40 minutes wow
