The current idea in my head is each level will be separated by hand drawn cutscenes featuring narration and dialogue of the protagonist, the actual gameplay? Ever play Dusk or Turbo Overkill? We're going for that, so far my graybox level hits the movements perfectly

The story is about 90% of the way to getting the first draft finished, it has been so gratifying creating a world with characters that just in the last few days I've grown so attached to. What's the gameplay gonna be like? Oh boy

So now, the thing WHAT GAME AM I GONNA MAKE??? At this moment, until we get the names trademarked and the domain secured, it's secret, currently it's internally going as Project: Patina. It is a steampunk neo-noire first person narrative shooter.

I can have it open while writing code, still chat and talk but that will be it. Also as many know since April I've been in a relationship with @karipawtato.bsky.social, shes someone I consider my soul mate, both of us are so similar but so different, she's been the best thing that was worth waiting

Where does this leave my Second Life hobby? Come the new year more on the back burner. I have several raffle photos to do still and I will be reaching out to those who need them done to get coordinated, once those are done, SL will be less of a focus. I'm not abandoning it at all

I'm 37 years old, this is something I can do mostly on my own out of my own pocket while I am working. But that entails the rough thing as a beginner in coding, and art. I am part of a community though that isn't letting limitations be the problem.
