I was very concerned about chance creation when Marcel Hartel and Edu Löwen departed the club. During the international break, I pulled the data for MLS matches only. Over the first 20 games, #AllForCITY averaged 3.75 above average xG chances per game. (1/3)

Haven't had a chance to dig into the stats until this morning and they really matched the eye test for me. If you take out that last set piece, #AllForCITY is dominant defensively with an xGA under .60.

That’s absolutely fair. I’m sure there is frustration on both sides. I know that early on he was being asked almost weekly about Simon’s struggles, substitute timing, and tactics. I think he maybe be looking for more trust from folks in that regard.

Honestly, from talking to Damet at media events in person and over Zoom; I haven’t ever gotten the impression he doesn’t like talking to media. I think he just took issue with the phrasing of the question and perhaps that it was the first thing asked after a big win.
