The only time I did that was when the author had a step that was blatantly removing agency of the characters, simply to forward the plot. I understand horrible things happen to people, but the way this was done was despicable. (I've since stopped reading that author combo.)

Sounds like Fallen Empires. And with the benefit of time, I have learned to accept it - as I was able to get some. (Probably more than I should have, but that's the kind of wisdom that only comes from paying off the debt. I mean experience.)

That was always my fear. Closest I came was a school trip: flight landed at 9:30 and the connection was taking off at 9:50 across the airport at the furthest terminal from where I deplaned. May the winds be ever in your favor.

I can only speak for myself, but I have been stockpiling some for a local convention. (I plan on dropping them off tomorrow, actually.) And while it's not much, it helps me feel like I'm contributing when and where I can, despite working in a field that actively frowns on supporting causes.

I just spent six hours trying to un-cluster the tablet I bought specifically to hold my gaming PDFs. Apparently, when I connected the backup drive they were on, it overwhelmed One(useless)Drive and blew up the tablet's access to memory but never loaded on to onboard memory - which was the point.

I did a stint as a college newspaper editor, and at the time there were more pieces of tech in my bag for articles, interviews, sound bites, and photos than for homework. It was daunting at first, and then cumbersome later.

To be honest, I've never really done a lot of the pre-Adventurers League adventures. I've always kind of preferred home brew for intro games. You can add something in that appeals to each player to hook them a bit more I to the story that way, and it seems to be t mechanics better for them.

I, for one, appreciate when someone wants to walk me through the use of their camera. It's like an invitation to get to know someone a little bit. (It also helps that my knowledge of cameras is primarily in the Point and Shoot category, so Cannon-body cameras are so.etjing I am not an expert in.)

I fight with the VRU software at a major delivery agency every week. It apparently doesn't understand me when I say letters when it is expecting numbers, so I have to ask for an operator every time. It usually takes me three attempts to get out of VRUHell and I to ColdCallCenter crap.

From what I know (I'm not an aviation engineer or trained A&P technician), the APU would run accessories when on the ground and basically just has enough power to start the engines and make sure the AC is functional. Planes usually tap into shore power when at the gate, which would run the AC.

There was a movie in the mid-80s that sort of summed up the early 90s storylines: Wisdom (Emilio Esteves). A bit ahead of it's time for the plot, but could fit in better today than the angst-and-fight-the-system 90s. (Any more spoilers would give it away.) But yes, the offerings were boilerplate.

I haven't shopped for one in a few years because the one I have is still working. But I remember being slightly surprised at the time how cheap it was - the previous TV we had acquired was perhaps twice the price for half the size, and I debated about going bigger at the time.

There was one he released showing how far out he'd have to go and how much momentum he'd need to tip over the pole and it was freaking awesome and eye opening. I'm glad he chose to use words because everything else he can do would cut me to ribbons. (Assuming we wouldn't be on the same side.)

My favorite complaint sound bite is those people complaining about supercars in handicapped/ disabled parking. It took me a while to understand it myself, but I do realize not all disabilities are visible. Accepting someone in the disabled seating should not depend on props or cues.
