@timClicks Any thoughts ? You're the local Rust expert that got me started ; apart from providing minhash metadata and publishing to codeberg with releases ; surely there must be some proposal for crates.io for this?

Seriously #cratesio - you have no signing, provenance or transparency logging facilities in your registry. in 2026 ? WTH #rust 😞

@zevpix.bsky.social Having thought about this a bit more overnight. The Fox needs to be on the Dark/Noir side of the mirror. It's the thing that watches/ushers in data - it doesn't go itself. The rainbow/tail aspect is actual Paua (South Pacific Blackfoot Abalone - Shell) so potentially that […]

@galleryofangie foxing is a Linux filesystem tool, open source hobby project. codeberg.org/aenertia/foxing Vibe: warm, slightly retro, not corporate. Think tarnished mirror with a fox reflected in it, patina texture. Name's an archival term for brown spots on old mirrors — desilvering

@capyshere It copies files — but remembers what it copied. fxcp (effects copy) is a smart cp/rsync with BLAKE3 delta detection. 200× faster resyncs on NFS. foxingd is an eBPF daemon for real-time replication (2-3ms). The twist: files get classified and tagged with Dublin Core metadata as a […]
