Here is a poorly lit photo of the duck house I built during the summer and finally assembled today now that the ducks are ready to graduate out of their brooder. I used to not try stuff like this because I didn’t like doing things I couldn’t do perfectly very quickly. Here’s to #growth and ducks.

I’m making the communion bread for my church for the last time tonight. I have 31 days left of pastoral ministry, at least for now. At least in this chapter. I did my best to lead gently. Maybe to prove to myself that it was still possible. I think I loved them well. I think that was the job.

I was on nitrous oxide for a procedure this week and somehow covered Christian mysticism and trans rights in the 15 minutes the doctor, a man I had never met before, worked on me. Nitrous Oxide is like extrovert meth.
