jvaralves.bsky.social @jvaralves.bsky.social · 10/10/2026I've enjoyed the games story, even the Jean romance, but their relationship comes across as two middle aged divorcees finding confort in each other, which is fine, but probably not what you want for a ps5 game. 000
jvaralves.bsky.social @jvaralves.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Wolverine is not cool by modern standards, he is cool in the way hemingway or the malboro man are cool, which is to say not cool at all. He is a short, stumpy, hairy dude with terrible fashion sense. He is not a romantic leading man. 100
jvaralves.bsky.social @jvaralves.bsky.social · 10/10/2026Its a missed opportunity that Wolverine is not a sad dad game since Sony is the company known for that "genre". IMO Wolverine works best when paired with a plucky sidekick like Jubilee or kitty pride. 110
jvaralves.bsky.social @jvaralves.bsky.social · 09/10/2026The story so far is actually one of the highlights, its not a good xmen story, but its a great wolverine one. The one thing I don't like is the inclusion of Jean and what it means for the potential insomniac xmen game. To the point where I kinda hope they don't do it. 000
jvaralves.bsky.social @jvaralves.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Combat again is not the best, but it makes you feel like wolverine, just came off onimusha and control resonant, and yes those games have better combat, yet I had a really good time with wolverine. 000
jvaralves.bsky.social @jvaralves.bsky.social · 09/10/2026About two thirds (I think) through wolverine and I have to say I've really enjoyed it. Yes its a step back for insomniac and it has a bit of jank, but its also the best wolverine simulator I've ever played. Specifically 616 comics wolverine (even though its not set in 616). 200
jvaralves.bsky.social @jvaralves.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Boss fights were the low points for me, visually stunning, but mechanically not very good. The co-redacted boss fight was my least favourite, the only time in the game where I felt underleveled. Amazing game, fantastic story, hopefully there is some dlc to carry us through to the next RCU game 010
jvaralves.bsky.social @jvaralves.bsky.social · 26/09/2026The sinkhole level in control resonant is incredible. They showed it ages ago in a gameplay preview, but playing through it was still such a great experience. 000

jvaralves.bsky.social @jvaralves.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Loving the game, but having the right build makes or breaks the combat. I think that's why I've seen some people saying its the best combat system of the year and others putting the game down because of it. 110
jvaralves.bsky.social @jvaralves.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Its the best. Only comic I purchased every single for a d every trade (trades for gifting to my sister). And you bet I'll buy OHC when/if they release! 010
