How do you square this with Harris losing the election by only 230k or so votes spread across three states? Since we're all indulging in alternative history, I don't think you need to tweak history all that much to imagine scenarios where she might actually win.

Do you really think Trump would've made the vaccine easily and widely available? If you thought the delta + omicron waves were bad enough, things could've been a lot worse if we never even got the basic shots.

I think it's difficult to say if the pandemic happens, or if it does it unfolds in exactly the same way. As you said, it would be so substantially different you couldn't expect the same contour of events to occur.

What is it with law professors (and lawyers generally) who develop these weird parasocial hangups about these institutions. You can't but feel like they have an overly vested interest in keeping things the way they are.

2008 really was the year she was destined to be elected president, and forcing her into 2016 always felt ham handed to me (I think I can say that now, its been long enough).
