One year since I've personally livestreamed, an update.

I've been trying to write this for days now, but I wish I could explain my disappearance or fill you all in on the good, bad, and ugly of why I haven't returned. To sum it up in the shortest of words: I am okay, but struggling through major life changes, and content creation scares me now.AI horrifies me and the idea of livestreaming where my entire physicality, quirks, speech cadence, and more can be so easily stolen from who I am and sold to or utilized by whomever keeps me up at night.

Sharing my personal life and precious moments used to bring me such delightful instances of being able to relate to people I never thought I could. Make someone smile. I love people. So much do I love people, and seeing people, friends, inspirations, peers and more begin to slowly disappear into isolation and solitude has increasingly encouraged my own disappearance into isolation and solitude.

I didn't want to disappear, but after observing from afar the last year, outside of the TTRPG's I've been so lucky to partake in & produce, I don't even know what "content creation" is meant to be anymore. My creativity and individuality, alongside so many of you, has felt abysmally squandered. I hear and read from fellow Creators much too often how much has changed since 2020, let alone the last two years, and unless you're going hard to be a content machine on several platforms, trying to actually become a full-time Content Creator is no longer a dream for me.

I will never recommend this as a feasible way of living because it's impossible for others to understand your brain and ideas the way you understand your brain and ideas, no matter how hard people (or AI) try. Which, in turn, feels like a certain cycle of disappointment that you expect after every high, into every low that I would not wish on anyone. The satisfaction that comes from engagement on your passions is…

2025 also saw the culmination of a story two years and three seasons in the making: The Fourth Age. While there is still one final episode to come in early 2026 - and much more for me to say - for now, I can only express how formative this story has been, both creatively and emotionally. (1/2)

This year saw the return of Paradise Lost, both in the dramatic finale of its first season, and the explosive premiere of its second. Using Free League's The Electric State, this journey through dystopia tackled the stranglehold of corporations over US politics and the insidious rise of Al. (1/2)
