Majority of social media is invested with useful idiots. It's depressing.

Justin Otstott @justinotstott.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

Apologies for the rant, but over on X, this Nikita Bier guy is easily the biggest jackass I’ve ever come across on the internet. It makes total sense why Elon put him in charge. Now they’re punishing people for using AI? The jokes write themselves.

How does Tomlin watch his team and not understand that his pass coverage is bad? I mean playcalling. 🤯 #Steelers

The Steelers defense is not good right now. Another huge play for the Packers, putting them in position to score again.

The answer to why the #Steelers lost to Joe Flacco and the Bengals is a lot simpler than most are willing to admit. www.steelcurtainpost.com/p/how-did-th...

How did the Steelers lose to the Bengals this past Thursday?

The #Steelers had their chances tonight, but the defense sold out. Terrible all around. The Bengals get down the field with a huge Higgins catch, and he quickly gets on the ground to wind the clock down. Field goal ends the game 33-31. 😒

Personal Wishlist for @bsky.app 2025: 1. Analytics of engagement from followers. 2. Long form video content (maybe livestreaming in the future) 3. Better account verification. Domain verification is not enough. 🤝

There’s been a lot of talk about toxic ‘X users’ coming to @bsky.app, but let’s not ignore something important: toxic behavior isn’t exclusive to any group. If #Bluesky is changing, it’s on all of us to reflect on our own actions. Respect and peace made this platform great—let’s not lose that.

Others have noted it but I will too: The big reason Bluesky is so hot right now is that the people who add value to social media - the frequent posters in specific fields - are here now, talking to each other and creating the "spectator value" that draws users and attention.

I think many #X users fail to realize that @bsky.app doesn't have to allow toxic content. They can filter content as they want. Honestly, it's made this place a lot nicer to be a part of. #BlueSky

This is what I have been talking about. @bsky.app does not need to be another echo chamber. Let your users see what they WANT to see on their feeds, and this place will really take off. Some of us are tired of politics.

Justin Otstott @justinotstott.bsky.social · 14/11/2024

The hard truth about #X (Twitter) is... it's dead. It's a broken platform with some cool features, but it is too political and, more importantly, broken. Being blocked for unknown reasons. You have to be crazy to give #Elon money.

Justin Otstott @justinotstott.bsky.social · 14/11/2024

I have been a user here since you needed an invite. Seeing @bsky.app grow over that time has been incredible to see. It is much deserved and a much less toxic place to be. Welcome all! #BlueSky #X #Twitter

I'm taking the next three days off to recharge and focus on a big project I've started. I'll still post a few new articles, but my main priority is laying the groundwork for something that will likely take about a year to complete. Wishing everyone a great weekend!

Social media for me personally has been terrible in 2024. Meta refused to give me access to my FB page despite giving them more than enough proof of ownership. X locks me out of my account weekly for unknown reasons. Bluesky is awesome but not much engagement. Maybe I need a break.
