And thankfully this week put an end to the awkward plots of Rebecca/Keely/Roy. Which the show didn’t seem to know how to move forward with the time lapse. In particular a bummer to watch Rebecca be such a mess both in her personal life and professional. Felt great to see back to being herself.

I loved the end of the #TedLasso s4. I think last week’s episode showed how well they built up the womens team over the season. The season MVP is Tanya Reynolds as Alice. I loved her on Sex Education, a very oddball role, and always wondered what would come next. This has been a perfect fit.

Celebrating having not logged into facebook for 1 year! Also. greatly limiting my time on insta, and ignoring threads. With that said everywhere I go I am haunted by ads for Meta's AI demon blob. imagine facing endless lawsuits for harm to children and then creating that to hook people on AI.

Finished watching all of Silo on appletv. Rebecca Ferguson is giving one of the best performances on tv and no one is talking about it. Juliette Nichols leave the silo and save us!

Funny how all the critics bashing Digger are just recycling quotes from me circa 2014 after seeing Birdman. That was a fucking annoying movie that critics loved and it won best picture. Justice for Boyhood (or even Grand Budapest)!

Disapointed in myself for not considering the franchise possibilities of Titanic!

David ellison white board pitches for wb/paramount merger:
- tmnt vs batman
- spongebob goes to Hogwarts
- cnn head of news : tucker carlson
- friends reboot with ai cast
- top gun: penguin

Apple TV also keeps showing me trailers for their matchbox cars movie which seems to only star old people and involves the fbi? Just totally bizzare. AND guess who produced it - none other than SKYDANCE MEDIA with MATTEL. Like who are these for?!?

Justin Francis @justinfb.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Imagine landing your giant merger and choosing to announce this as your big project. I am sure all the young people will be clamoring to see a GI Joe movie starring the 51yo Bradley Cooper. All paramount has done since ellison takeover is announce ip slop.

Happy for daddy devens to finally get a win. Advantages or no advantages he and Dee played hella hard.

000

Justin Francis @justinfb.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

I cant believe i went from hating devens on 38 to now loving him on 2 seasons of tv. With that said i always thought he was at least 5-8 years older than me and I just learned actually its less than a year.

Slow Horses finding a way to have Sid and Louisa back is glorious. The Sid and River reunion has been great, but I also can’t wait for the River/Louisa reunion. Also Jack Lowden constantly the butt of jokes is forever endearing.

Brad Pitt, my beloved dog, passed away yesterday after 14 wonderful years. The last couple years had taken a toll on him. He was fed up with all the questions about the other Brad Pitts behavior. The final straw was when other Brad had the nerve to release a film with a different dog.

Honorable mentions: Mad Men - My actual favorite. After all, what is more gay than a show about men that is actually a showcase of actresses giving all-time performances + great fashion and interior design? Survivor - Canonically gay

Prior to this list i had been thinking of early streaming hits that seem forgotten and specifically OINTB and Transparent. So not surprised by the absence or that they somehow they remembered to celebrate house of cards. 🤨

Traitors us cast recation: Whoa they got some legit actor celebrities. But also Craig Conover. Did not see Krisin Chenoweth coming. Survivor picks are solid but the least exciting to me so far. Need Bianca, Casey Wilson, and Johny Sibilly to team up. Bring on the Ian Sterling confessionals

Another Oligrach decided he gets to say what speech is allowed and then called his rich friends at other stadiums to back him up. But some of you mad at…. Ed Sheeran…And now I have to stan Macklemore who i havent heard in over a decade. God 2026 really is a mind warp.

Justin Francis @justinfb.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

I will say the first movie also bombed with critics. But i loved it growing up. So this one hits a lot of pleasure spots in my brain while certainty not perfect scriptwise. Lee Pace as a witchy heavily tatooed man gives smoldering looks to Sandy that would destroy me.

Watched and really enjoyed Practical Magic 2. The best parts were the ones with Sandra Bullock doing comedy and those that let her chemistry with Nicole Kidman shine through. And of course, happy for any moment when Diane Weist and Stockard Channing appear. #practicalmagic2

Just saw the #survivor trailer playing gangstas paradise… and absolutely cognitively bizarre choice in which the music does not match the visuals at all. Betting that was the idea of someone in the Ellison brain trust.

Furious is so damn good. Despite the bleak premise, by the end I just love so many of the characters and can’t wait for more. Terrific performances all around but my MVP goes to Nora. Quincy Tyler Bernstine 👏 Also the 2nd best karaoke seen of the year.
