Can they legally do that? I'm sure they already know all the loopholes to get away with it, but it seems illegal. Firing a person entitles them to unemployment pay, maybe they're trying to avoid that? I can tell my work is also planning layoffs. It's going to be The Great Depression 2.0 pretty soon.
