At the league social, we had to make a team mascot out of clay. I had to leave my team for 5 minutes to sort a tech issue. When I got back I found that they'd decided the mascot was me "lying provocatively". Sadly I didn't get a photo before there was an incident so here's an artist's impression...

Bought and read Claimed! by Gertrude Barrows Bennett after seeing it in a sale for 99p. A good, fun novella from 1920 about a mysterious green box that cannot be opened and might be causing weird events/hallucinations.

The AF League isn't on bluesky but I'm glad to be part of a league that immediately refused FA England's decision and will continue to include trans and non-binary players instagram.com/theafleague/

In light of FA England's recent decision to ban trans players from current FA football provisions, we would like to take this opportunity to reassure our teams and players that all trans and non-binary players are welcome at the AF League. I watched In Memorium last night and turns out it's a really good found footage horror about being trapped in a house/trapped by your past. Low budget and a little rough around the edges but that just adds to the charm.

Mild spoilers. There's an insensitive panicked reaction when a character discovers his love interest is a trans woman but the lead singer of the band appears and basically tells him to fucking get over himself if he loves this woman. So he does.

Couldn't go to a gig because I was ill so needed to find something to cheer me up. Up steps Wild Zero which did everything I needed and more. Ridiculous Japanese zombie B-movie from 1999 with the band Guitar Wolf playing fictional versions of themselves as the heroes.
