So I realized I had the infamous virgin killer sweater in my mods in Koikatsu So I had to put Takuya in it. Because yes. #Koikatsu #Pinups #3dart

I've got like, a bunch of pseudo-fighting game poses I made ages ago. I'm tempted to re-do them to post 'em as a Fighttober thing, since I've seen some folks using that hash tag for fighting game inspired stuff

I wasn't too keen on the Bo'Rai'Cho cosplay because it's hard to get it down right considering what he looks like in MKX, which was my closest model, but I decided to just focus on the vibes instead. Fun fact, the Akuma cosplay required me to use the modded DBZ top with some *heavy* Alpha Masking

I've got a bunch of dumb little things to post right now. I'll try to post 'em through the next few days. For now, how about a li'l cosplay nonsense José as Akuma and Nick as Bo'Rai'Cho, because of course their partners are huge nerds and got them into it 😛 #Koikatsu #sfwfurry #BrokenDiamondExtras

Being a furry is the easiest thing ever. You pick the animal you wanna be and for all time your friends will send you pics or vids of that animal while saying "this is you🫵"

Super Metroid. That one part at the start where Ridley comes into the screen and there's alarms and stuff blaring all over. It scared the absolute heck out of me. I did eventually play the game and it didn't affect me as much, but still, it was one hell of an opener for young me to deal with

One word challenge - 'Melancholy' Asked my friends for a word and this one came up. Gives me a chance to, for the first time, do a piece with Tomás Veracruz. Owner of his own ritzy bar, all the money and influence he could want. And yet he still feels empty. #koikatsu #onewordchallenge #OcArt

Single word excercise - 'Overdrive' Simple premise here, ask for a word, make art based on it! 'Overdrive' immediately made me think of cars and action movies, so I went with a scene that fit the bill with Chance and Emile #Koikatsu #sfwfurry #furry #SingleWordChallenge

Either Doom (1993) or Kirby Superstar. Very different games but both just have a special place in my mind. I've played both enough I know them like the back of my hand.

I heard ages ago people say that Republican leadership just hates people who can enjoy life because they can't These attempts to diminish people just having fun being "weird" prove that idea 100% correct.

You might recognize Valerie there since she actually has appeared in the background of Issue 10 on a picture on the wall. She used to be one of May's friends in the ACC. Here's the full pic and a bonus from their senior year for funsies. (For those curious/unsure, Valerie's a wolf!)

I missed Bi day of visibility yesterday but I figure people won't mind a belated thing for it. So here's our wonder Bi-Disaster Mayuka, dealing with her current partner José and her (amicable) ex-partner Valerie teasing her~ And yes. The girl has a type 😛 #Koikatsu #sfwfurry #bivisibilityday

[CROSSOVER] 'Intruso' I asked some friends for a few words to ignite the imagination and the end result was the idea for a 'Mirror Match', so here's what would happen if José met with a 'bad timeline' version of himself. *They throw hands immediately* #sfwfurry #furryart #furry #BrokenDiamondExtras

I need to like, make a smaller feed to keep track of folks I actually want to interact with or something. I've realized I follow so much stuff I keep missing art or social posts from folk. I suck at social media.

060

Em! @justanem.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

The quote in the pic actually comes from a real book, can't take credit for that one. Given some stuff that happens later in story it felt far too appropiate. The book itself is called Darkchylde. Leonard likely derided it as YA slop but the friend who took this pic really liked it, so he kept it.

Em! @justanem.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

'Somewhere in the South China Sea' Another li'l extra piece, this time featuring Leonard *waaaaaay* in the past, before he became the cold pragmatist he is today. Text and Textless I can't wait to actually show him fighting in comic, which is coming up soon 👀 #BrokenDiamondextras #Koikatsu #OcArt

Work on the next issue for Broken Diamond is going nicely, but I also have so much other stuff I've made over the past week I've yet to post @_@ And I've still not made a thing for the independence celebrations going on this month. Even if that one is late I want something out there

I really like the way you mixed the different hues of blue here. It's easy to accidentally end up making it so it all blends together but with the different shades it makes for a solid break visually that works really nicely

Real talk, the VN they're from is BAD by today's standards. Lots of stuff that wouldn't and hsouldn't fly today, but since it was late 90s/early 2000's? no one cared Part of why I made this recreation was because I wanted a version of my own, with their own new story, removed from those bad things.

Going to do a little vibe check here for funsies. This is a character I made ages ago that's based on a certain Visual Novel protag. Takuya Aihara. If you recognize who they're based and named after, congrats on your egg cracking, now go do something about it! 😜 #Koikatsu #VisualNovels

Like, okay, examples: Kintaro in Mortal Kombat King in Tekken The Tigers from Bloody Roar (This one admitedly is a little cheaty) A good few fighting game inspired furry creators also have sonas or characters that are specifically feline. Heck. I have José who's a Snow Leopard. *Why Catte = Punch?*

120

Em! @justanem.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

I hadn't really thought about it until now but it's weirdly common for fighting games or fighting game inspired characters to have feline traits to the point 'Punch cat' is an archetype in my mind. Huh. What is it about feline characters that draws designs like that?

The dogtags were added entirely on a whim because I felt the chest area was a little bare, and now I have a million questions like "Why did he go to the military?" "What branch?" "What did he do?" "Was his experience good or bad?". OCs will rot your brain, people.

010

Em! @justanem.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

You know one thing I really like? When a tiny design choice informs a backstory choice. I'm practicing making animatics and I decided to use Ako for this one. I had to make a modern outfit for it and I gave him Dogtags. So now 'modern' him has some military history and that fills me with more ideas.

I think I may try to start posting more nsfw work sometime soon here. We'll see if I can get past the weird mental hurdle I have about it. It's odd, you'd think given i'm working with Koi I'd have done it already. Mental blocks are fucky like that, I suppose.
