I'm more inclined these days to try creating software that can work on top on "more than one" other software, whenever possible. It even affects my general Unity development, as in, I'm actively thinking "Can my work provide value outside of the Unity Engine?"

I just find it comical that the only status update other creators who might be waiting get is easily deductible from an announcement from a year ago (it will rain -> it is now wet; we are launching tests -> we are now testing). I don't actually care about Soba; other creators do.

I rarely have the desire to get in VR these days. I was forced to perform a battery replacement when my controller instantly turned off after charging it, and it completely zapped my remaining motivation. Maybe it's yet another sign. I've been considering skipping VR New Years' Eve 2026.
