Also, Dax update! He's 7 months as of next week (ish). He's got a rotten streak and has started getting into his treat bags when he's bored. He was neutered back in August and we had a health scare after, but he's been good since. No idea what he weighs but I think he's going to be a big dude.

Oh and a life update! I left my high stress tech job working in VOD/OTT and am now back at the hotel I worked at in 2021/2022. After almost having another mental break down because of work and finding out I likely have polymyositis, I just couldn't handle it anymore. Will I leave again? Maybe.

Found a photo of my Dad that I took in the late 90s. I can smell the vanilla Cavendish just by looking at this picture. He passed away eleven years ago in November. Wild to think it's been that long. I have him to thank for my sense of humor and my love of history.

My baby boy is getting so big! He's 4 months and 5 lbs. We're scheduling his neuter soon and I'm terrified. I know he will be okay but he's my first pet as an adult and is literally my child. I love him so much.

Got some not so great news at the vet today. Dax tested positive for FIV. We're going to retest at around 6 months just in case it's a false positive from nursing from mom who may have been FIV+. Doesn't change much for us. He's still our boy and we are going to give him the best life we can.

Baby got moved in sooner than planned due to my nerves. we had a bath today, hid under the dusty couch after the bath and now sleeping in our new comfy bed. Tomorrow we're going to the vet so it's a big day!

The cat distribution system is working. Due to allergies I can't bring them inside. I've tried finding them a forever home that can keep them inside but no luck. So I'm doing the best I can to make sure this little one is well fed and taken care of. A vet visit is in their future.

I haven't been on here much because I managed to make my entire feed political. Due to my mental health tanking back in January I had to stop being in the know, the state of the world caused me to have a break down. I come back on occasion but get flooded with the same stuff and have to disengage.

Working on my first color work knitting pattern and I have to say it's not as difficult as I thought it would be. Now that I've gotten the hang of reading the pattern I can get a row done in like 20 to 30 minutes. I may post pictures when it's done... It's the 3D hat pattern.
