It’s not a good solution since the byproducts of Ethanol are still Carbon Dioxide and Water. But it’s a direct replacement and infinite source we could constrict and expand at anytime needed… even for political reasons under false pretenses like a fake corn famine if needed.

Like Cotton was profitable for the farms in the south to grow and sell to the textile mills in the north. Until Late Industrialization in the 1940’s. After that oil was the main thing. And most oil these days are E85. Which mean it’s 85% Ethanol. It doesn’t make sense that it’s still so expensive

Also last thing, we have the solution to out oil problem. We just don’t use it. Bio-fuels, Specifically Ethanol, Specifically From Corn Which we now produce more than we used to cotton That’s another thing, we don’t use things to it’s needed extent anymore until it’s needed or becomes profitable.

We have all the means to be energy independent or semi-independent, but many people don’t. Same thing goes with at hone gardening. Eggs at home are free. But a dozen takes a good while from just one hen. Potatoes grow fast, but beans take a couple months. 3rd grade science btw.

Everyone has different fears for different reasons but over time and exposures they can or won’t heal over. I used to fear being land locked because I always lived next to the Gulf of Mexico. I hates no knowing where the ocean was as a point of reference Until I started visiting Colorado.
