My ideal forward addition for Dallas? Chris Kreider. Fairly moderate 6.5M cap hit for the next two years, he might be the only player that is *an upgrade* over Seguin. With the cap projected to rise significantly in the coming years, yeah, they could definitely fit him in down the road as well.

Back to the reality though, I think Matt Dumba might be the money out candidate in a trade to improve the D-core, just like Anton Khudobin was in 2023. I still like the idea of acquiring RHD like Carlo from Boston, giving BOS 1st round pick in 2025 (to stockpile talent) and Dumba to make $$ work.

Let's get this 🦋 thingy started: My under the radar target for Dallas at trade deadline: Brendon Carlo, signed at 4.1M through 2026-27. BOS might want to think about rebuild. If you offer them Nils Lunkdvist + picks, it may be a start. This is my playoff roster. Deep on every front.
