Samuel Alito flew flags used by insurrectionists. Clarence Thomas' wife plotted to overturn the 2020 election. Both justices refused to recuse themselves from SCOTUS cases related to the Jan 6 plot. Both ruled in favor of Trump's mail-in ballot sabotage. I don't think I'll ever get over this.

I support the right to be mysterious and inscrutable. Your particulars are none of my business. Society will continue to function if I think of you all as rocks.

Not only is this #smbc cool for demonstrating an issue with expected value maximization, it's also a great demonstration of the diminishing utility of excess. One trillion dollars isn't even worth one trillion dollars, it's difficult to utilize that much money. www.smbc-comics.com/comic/ev-2

Telling my employer today that in the near future I may utilize PTO on short notice to join a march, depends on what lies get spouted today. Thankfully some of my work is in DC, maybe I just finish the day and march down the street after.

I'm such a robot that it can loop back around into being a gag, like being funny via humorlessness. I'm go into a streamer's chat and write out "less than three". Playing Mina the hollower and the carving man rips me out of the floor my reaction is "ah, he can rip me out of the floor". Lowercase.

Realized that in #Deltarune, our power doesn't come from Determination. We can't determine what happens (mostly). Our power is Certainty. That's why save points mention "a certain power". It isn't referencing a certain other power, the power itself *is certain*.

If your app worms its way into the startup sequence without explicitly asking to be there, it's getting uninstalled.

After playing #Tunic I'm thinking about how well it used consumable items. There are a lot of games where consumables don't matter, but they were very impactful in Tunic, and that reinforced the game's focus on exploration. Not only were they useful, you got rewarded for using them.

That moment when one coworker is complaining to you about another coworker, and I'm just thinking "nah, I'm not going to validate or internalize the way you feel about our fellow employee". I'm just gonna stare forward and say "hmmmm". If you're badmouthing I won't even nod along.

Since I've been making videos about the boys, I started taking notes while watching the show. I then recognized this as part of a pattern where I do better at work when taking notes, I enjoy video games more when taking notes. I didn't take notes in school. How long have I been like this?
