Now that the season has officially started, which women are bringing us to the club? I feel a disturbance in the force. An absence of club bangers. A lack of serves. #figureskating

I've got literally nothing better to do so I'm watching the Sochi 2014 free dance and Charlene Guignard genuinely hasn't aged a day. I'm baffled.

I love telling the non-skating fans in my life little updates about the season. They get so excited! It might be the way I go about it, but "a team broke up and a guy came out of retirement to skate with this woman but that means he's competing against his fiance" is simply exciting

I know that Ilia said/hinted he might skip the GP series but I have a desperate need to see him vs Rio Nakata at NHK Trophy like it's chronic

Okay assuming that 14 and 15 aren't bad, NQs have to be Georgia, Estonia, Belgium, Lithuania and San Marino...right?

For my very small amount of followers, I will not be tweeting about every single song in the semifinal. I probably won't even be watching the final this year because of, you know. But I had the night off so I'm indulging a little.

Just a thought I had: both Alysa and Amber will 100% be inducted into the American Figure Skating Hall of Fame one day. All Olympic gold medalists are there, and the three time US champ who is the 2nd US woman to land a 3A at the Olympics sounds pretty Hall of Fame worthy to me.

Proof I love Z/K when I say I have hated the Scottish FD all year and I don't understand people complaining now that F/G deserved bronze with it. They got unfair calls in their favor for GPF, and everyone was pissed. We can just call this even. #worldfigure

I can't wait til Alysa Liu starts getting referenced in rap songs. "Loo" is a very tempting rhyme. "Lee-ooh" is also easy if you get creative. Being from Oakland, I give it 6 months.

Extremely funny listening to Mark Hanretty's hesitation in the men's commentary as he holds himself back from saying "menning". It would be rude for a commentator to say, but there's a reason the term exists. #worldfigure

I know I'm going to be sooo bad at the fantasy draft for #figureskating Worlds but it is fun to think about who scores better component vs component. Also with so many withdrawals, it'll be nice to see some teams I maybe haven't seen as much this season!

While it's still a work in progress, here's my 90s Rhythm Dance playlist! The first ~50 songs are in Olympic podium order, and I'll be adding anyone else from the Grand Prix's after that, also in order :) Enjoy, or don't! #figureskating #icedance open.spotify.com/playlist/6L8...

Should I put all of the songs from the Shibs in Shibuya RD in my master playlist? Each song only gets a small highlight, and they only did that program twice as far as I remember (with the relevant performance here being at NHK trophy) before changing to Canned Heat.

You know, after being subjected to death by a thousand bad music cuts I'm actually going to miss this year's 90s rhythm dance lol. I think to give it a proper send off, I need to finally make the Spotify playlist I've been meaning to make all year. Stay tuned. #figureskating

I'm getting really hyped about Prague Worlds because Boston Worlds is what brought me back into skating.

Alysa Liu has the greatest sports comeback story I have ever seen. She comes out of retirement to get: world gold, world team trophy gold, Grand Prix final gold, Olympic team event gold, and Olympic individual medal gold, all within 11 months of the first event mentioned.

Juniper ⭐ Archer @juniperarcher.bsky.social · 19/02/2026

I've said it before, but Alysa's free skate at Boston Worlds made me want to be a skater. I have been hyping her up for the entire year. I have never been more right about anything in my life. I love skating and I love Alysa.

I've gotten the silver medalist right for both individual events but I couldn't predict the gold. My GOD Alysa blew the roof off that was INCREDIBLE.

Very fun trying to explain to people at work while I like certain skaters who aren't at the top. Other than musicality, the thing I appreciate most is skaters who use their immense talent to do something weird, and wholly themselves.

I had to Google it, but the last Japanese women to land a triple axel at the Olympics is WAKABA HIGUCHI and it's a shame she can't be here to see Ami become the 4th. #figureskating

Completely ignoring Petrosiian then, my prediction is Ami, Kaori, Alysa. If Ami lands her 3A again, I'm not sure anyone can catch her? Kaori and Alysa will get high presentation because Kaori skates with such grace and that Donna Summer program is so electric

I don't think I'll be able to watch the FS live on Thursday so I desperately need the AIN athlete not to podium because if I open this app and I don't see some kind of 🇺🇸🇯🇵 combo it's going to be my villain origin story #figureskating

I really think the team event should go after the individual figure skating events. It's a better redemption story if the ind goes wrong but the team event goes soooo right. Yes the skaters will be more tired but since it's a team effort it probably evens out.

Rewatching Shaidorov's FS and I must have missed the 3A + euler + 4Sal combo the first time because he made it look so effortless, but that's an insane jump combo right? Are a lot of other people doing that? I need someone who is a bigger #figureskating nerd than me to answer.
