Second trip, committed to going all the way around and it was Worth It. At least one Green Heron, 3(!) Great Blue Herons, a Cormorant, a Ring-billed Gull, various critters, and (too far to really get a usable pic but) a Belted Kingfisher! I will be back for you, little guy.

A screenshot from the AllTrails app. It shows a 3.83 mile route taken around Silver Lake in Bristol PA, with an easy 43 ft elevation gain at a leisurely time of 2h 39m (lots of stops to take photos).

Last year a delivery driver knocked over our streetlight. Township couldn't replace it until the spring, and had to dig up the easement. Waited for a rainy day and tossed a double handful of seeds into the muck, then forgot about them. Six months later ... better results than when I actually try.
