I keep running at full speed - having a grandson does that. I'm damn lucky to have him, my oldest, and my youngest all living here right now. Hair very gray but heart very full. A neighbor wants one of my Trans Kids signs (have 3 via pFlag). Life is good.

Tried normal - didn't take. My kids argued with each other over who is normal once - "you are normal", "no you are", "no you", "mooom!!!" Heh. I've raised them right.

Yep, I know. I keep telling myself 'be patient'. I waited 50 years to come out from when I first started to feel trans, 46 from when I knew I was. I can do this. I have 4 daughters who remind me daily of it. Love helps a TON. So glad you and Amber have each other as support, plus more of course.

IMO we all need to be as visible as we can (safely of course). I'm in a good area, so I've joined my daughters school's parent council, I talk with politicians, need to make it obvious that trans women are just women to the average person here as much as I can.

For my first transgender coming out day I did a workout and used the women's changeroom for the first time. Zero issues of course, in my sports bra and tucking so nothing visible down there. My usual scared for no reason thing.

Not looking forward to the casual abuse women get from medical personnel. My daughter went through some of what she delt with when I mentioned this to her. Doctors squeezing her boobs after she gave birth with no warning for example.

Sad when a person sells out any morals in a desperate bid to gain some MAGA votes. And won't gain any as those who hate trans people will vote full-MAGA, not MAGA-lite. Reverse your anti-trans stance as it failed horribly, and come out as a supporter of human rights or you are doomed.

I don't have that - maybe someday, but not yet. However, I know from guys reactions that I pass from behind, up until they see my face. So easy to tell guys who are checking you out, then they figure out I'm trans and the expression is priceless. I'm Canadian so fairly safe with that.

Love that - my real self was buried until early this year. Hidden until I figured it was now or never. Luckily I chose now. Did therapy, went to a trans meeting in town - started at 6, by 8 my old mask was gone and June had taken over forevermore. Had to play pretend for 2 weeks before telling.

Agreed - a friend told me recently she voted Trump all 3 times. But saw the light recently (she came out as transgender a couple years ago). As you say, better late than never. Took a lot, but she admits to it. Here in Ontario in the 90's I voted Con all the time (part of my mask). I grew up.

Smart. I fight it by asking grok (the most transphobic AI I know of) what I look like - my face sucks so I know it'll clock me, but it feels I walk like a woman and that from behind I'm fully female. I'll take it. Noticed more and more often I'm treated as one by strangers too. Fewer sirs.

Being trans made your eyes worse? I was 50 years with glasses, came out, said 'screw it - if I'm fixing my gender lets fix my eyes too' and got eye surgery so now I have near 20-20 vision.

Ugh. I've been avoiding using the changerooms out of fear of being seen badly, causing a commotion, but I won't use men's ever again. I use Planet Fitness and have asked if they might put a gender neutral option in place with the renovations that they are doing this month, but sadly not.

Transitioning made me want to do the hard work. Nothing like having a real goal for yourself beyond 'not dying'. Want to be a healthy old woman, not an unhealthy one (at 57 the hot young option has passed me by ... could be a hot old one still though).

Just hope it holds off until I can enjoy living as myself for a bit longer - at least let me get SRS (and recover from it), see my grandkids grow up a bit too. Sadly there are many in the USA and other places who seem hell bent on it happening soon.
