@maireadthepirate.bsky.social I just watched the video review and wanted to make sure you were aware you can trade in person in the Switch versions, just like in the playground back in the day. As far as I am aware this version has all the features of the original plus the event exclusive stuff.

Some 90s cartoon characters would be great, like Scratch and Grounder or Manic and Sonya. While the comic characters are great, the comics are only available in the US, so aren't globally recognised unless they keep getting cameos like Tangle and Whisper. The cartoons were global.

Possibly, but none of the games are designed for a screen that size. At PSP size most of the text would be almost unreadable in text-heavy games. I have already seen complaints about text being too small in some games on the Switch Lite.

Pokemon is by The Pokemon Company, not Nintendo. Any budgeting is done by them and they don't need money from Nintendo because they are rolling in it. They want to constantly put out new games because they want to release new tie-in cartoons and merchandise. They don't care if the games are ready.

Don't play at 4k with a deck. It is really optimised for 720p and barely anything will run at anything near 4k.

Either 2 or 3. I'm not sure which I played first.

The logical follow up to The Year of Shadow which will bring us a new "Eevee the Pokemon" movie and the "Detective Pikachu x Eevee" remake of the original 3DS Detective Pikachu game.

My favourites were Through The Dragons Eye, Legend of the Lost Keys and Spywatch. Admittedly l did watch Geordie Racer, and it was a bit boring. I think the later stories were much more fun than the earlier ones.

Boris, Doris and Morris! Despite how other people feel about it Look and Read was a huge part of my childhood. I had several stories on VHS and watched them repeatedly.

Its a port of the Android and iOS remake with the touch controls stripped out and gamepad controls added in on a console with a touch screen. The touch controls on mobile worked amazingly well, and were even better than the gamepad controls. If they put them back in I will be using them exclusively!

I will never understand people who play games on mute. I can't play games without the music because I don't want to miss out on the emotion and atmosphere. Without the music games feel hollow.
