The sunset has Funky surfing directly in the water in his default location, cowabunga 😎

DK's identity is more intact than ever with the new redesign. He's now able to more easily express the emotions they tried forcing on his old design that just never worked before, if that makes sense. The new design can do cool, goofy, angry, gentle, etc, and do them well! He's our same old DK!

Love going through all my old reactions after recent Directs, and I don't think I'll ever be able to top this one. Almost didn't happen as I just moved into a new apartment and didn't know if any of my setup would work, but wow, worked out perfect, and my mind was blown by Donkey Kong Bananza!

Drew this 25 years ago to the day in middle school art class, so you know I'm very excited about Kirby and the World Beyond!!

Happy 1 year anniversary of Donkey Kong Bananza!! I spent all my time on the OG DK 45th anniversary drawing, so sorry no new drawing here, but wow, what an incredible year it's been for Donkey Kong fans! 🍌✨🦍🎤 #DonkeyKongBananza

pretty wild to see my favorite Animal Buddy in the series show up in the game, when usually DKC3 gets the cold shoulder... and not only that, Kiddy Kong is coming next month?? PINCH ME!!

Never thought I'd actually ever be able to recreate this in a Donkey Kong game... but here they all are! Well, Void instead of Mario, haha

Pauline's wild side is breaking through! My latest moveset drawing is of Pauline from the Donkey Kong series! Wanted her action oriented so I heavily based her on Bananza, but wanted to keep her an adult to pair better side-by-side with the other iconic Nintendo ladies of Smash!

Hard to top Ultimate's roster, but tried real hard to think of some hype choices for this wishlist/prediction future Smash.

I love how the figurehead has remained consistent since game one too, only, now we see that it was never fully gold.

You and me both... It's my happy place, my go to hub where I just chill out, maybe take a few photos, and just soak in my special interest with utmost glee 🍌

There's quite a bit to do with the Emerald Rush mode, as there are unique monthly events with exclusive statues, timed events unfortunately, but they are quite fun and rewarding! As for DK Island itself, it's mostly just a hub to chill out and take photos at, lots of fan service scattered about tho!

This is my happy place. Boot up the game, chill out in this world, just soak in the vibes. All of my special interests in one place, as perfect as they've ever been, it's become my favorite hub in gaming. The more statues added, the more in love with it I am.

Was recently gifted several items from Donkey Kong Country in Epic Universe and couldn't be more grateful! The jumbo chocolate bar is SO BANANA! The aroma immediately permeated the room when I opened it, and mmmm so delicious! Banana chips too! And hey, my favorite Kongs in the blind box! 🍌

Made a second Nintendo Museum, more accurate to the actual one. Just cuz.

Okay, I've literally run out of room now, haha! I might try to draw some more title screens at some point again, but the display space is PACKED!

Michael Julius @juliusaurus.bsky.social · 26/01/2026

Just realized that since my display cases are up against a wall, that I can display hanging items in them! I think they turned out pretty great, especially the Zelda ones! Also because DK is my favorite series, I had to give it a little corner too (wish it had official items!!)

Michael Julius @juliusaurus.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

the Donkey Kong Country Returns HD Switch 2 update (with Dixie!) reminded me that there's a couple more pics hanging up in the DK Treehouse from the game that I haven't made in Animal Crossing yet. Welp, here they are!

Michael Julius @juliusaurus.bsky.social · 24/01/2026

Of course, I can't forget Animal Crossing

Michael Julius @juliusaurus.bsky.social · 23/01/2026

Also made some title screens for the monitors, just like the actual Nintendo Museum!

Michael Julius @juliusaurus.bsky.social · 23/01/2026

Finally got enough of the Nintendo items to make a proper museum!! And of course, Mineru would be carefully studying the Switch 2.

Michael Julius @juliusaurus.bsky.social · 22/01/2026

Grab them for your own treehouse here!

Updated the Donkey Kong Treehouse in Animal Crossing New Horizons again! This time with additions from Bananza's DLC! Plus some 3.0 goodies! Play it Loud!! 🍌

Please oh please oh please!! Each Animal Buddy paired up with the Animal Bananza!! (the chances of the zebra are so low, lmao, I'd sooner expect some random animal buddy to be paired with Zebra Bananza, like Winky... but wouldn't it be dope if we got Zigmund???)
