Reminder for anyone interested: If you have an account on the MediaOCD site, you can use their extremely generous points system to reduce prices on stuff you buy, Aniplex stuff included. Not perfect, but it's better than nothing. And I can confirm that their points system is EXTREMELY generous.

Awesome! Also, a reminder: People, if you make an account on the MediaOCD website, you can make use of their generous points system to reduce the prices on AoA stuff somewhat. Not perfect, but it's better than nothing.

I find a lot of the discourse over it pretty stupid and childish myself. "How dare this show not be exactly what I want it to be! Worst show eva!!!!" I've even seen people compare it to Wonder Egg Priority which...hell no. Lara's ending is NOWHERE near that bad AT ALL.

It's technically Noboru Aikawa, but sometimes he's credited as Sho.

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Oh wow. Took them long enough! I am gonna miss the white cover, but this is cool too! Glad you guys can finally put it out!

No joke, when it appeared in the Direct sizzle reel, I legit shouted "WHAT?!" out loud. Literally, that was the only thing in the Direct (Besides the new Kirby game) that actually got a reaction out of me.

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Oh really? I had no clue! My original email receipt still says September 9th. Thanks for letting me know!

100

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Oh, I did notice my copy of Look Back hadn't shipped out yet despite it coming out two days ago. I wonder if this is why?

110

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

I would suggest all of World Masterpiece Theater myself, but I know that's a pipe dream that'll never happen, so I'll go with Nurse Angel Ririka SOS and Uninhabited Planet Survive.

Fun fact: When Lady Georgie was brought to Italy, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and South Korea, only Igarashi was credited, and the author dragged her to court over it. The court ruled in Izawa's favor and Igarashi had to hand him the rights.

010

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

I'd go for every single World Masterpiece Theater series besides Romeo (As that's already out on BR), but I know that's a pipe dream that'll never happen.

041

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Yeah, I totally want to watch and own the Maple Town series too. It looks cute as all get-out.

020

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

I doubt it. They're still a fairly small company, and we don't know what their warehouse capacity is like. With so many manga out there, it's unlikely they'll be able to handle the amount of books being put out there. They probably want to just focus on BRs.

020

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Good thing companies like GKids, MediaOCD, and Media Blasters are catching on to CR's bullshit and burning their bridges with them.

020

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

I am hearing there's also missing dialogue in episodes 15 and 16, but I can't confirm as I haven't seen that far into the series yet.

020

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

I was planning to upgrade my Madoka Magica DVDs by getting the blu-ray set later, but now that's OOP too. I guess I should be glad I got both Magia Record sets and AnoHana when I did. Not to mention all the other titles that Aniplex has never brought to blu-ray and won't re-release ever.

010

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

Cool! Their dubs have been fairly solid, so I hope the dub for this one turns out well!

010

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

I KNOW RIGHT?!??!! My favorite movie of all time is finally coming!!!!!

010

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME FINALLY ON BR UNCUT YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY BUYING IT DAY ONE!!!!!! THANK YOU @animeigo.com YOU HAVE MY ETERNAL LOYALTY!!!!!!!

020

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOO MY FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME THANK YOU SO MUCH BUYING IT DAY ONE!!!!! I'VE WAITED 16 YEARS FOR THIS!!!!!!!

060

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

Oh my God. That's so awful. I'm so sorry you were made to go through that.

000

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

Man, Banana Fish fans be winning! I never even watched the series, but after the awful AI dub fiasco, I'm so glad the series is getting the treatment it actually deserves!

010

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

The MediaOCD store! Their prices are high, but their generous points system for members more than makes up for that! Great customer service too!

020

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

Or give them to companies that actually give a shit about good home video releases, like Discotek, GKids, or AnimEigo.

000

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

I swear to God, Sony's bad decisions make me hate them more and more.

020

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

I didn't use Right Stuf a whole lot, as I got introduced to it late, but my experiences with them were always good. It sucks to see just how badly they got royally screwed over, and for what? CR's inflated ego?

000

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 14/07/2026

Love me some corpo roasting. I welcome the roasting!

070

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 09/07/2026

It used to be MUCH more common back in the 2000s. Seriously, you'd need more than both hands to count how many shows Scott McNeil was in back in those days.

020

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

After the whole AI dub fiasco, this is a long time coming. I usually like Dubbing Bros as they usually put out good dubs, but they did put out some stinkers too (Summertime Rendering, Fragrant Flower), so here's hoping they give it to a good team at least.

100

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Happy birthday! Hope your birthday this year was a good one!

000

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 05/07/2026

Hell yeah!!! Buying day one!!!! Though question: Do these only have UHD discs? Or do they contain a regular BR disc too?

130

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

It could be because of licensor mandate on the Japanese side, so it might not be AnimEigo's fault. I did hear Baby And I is more of a placeholder title until they get approval on which title they can actually use.

000

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

I haven't seen that yet. I've heard good things about it though.

110

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

I still need to finish watching that one.

010

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Not sure about anything else, but AnimEigo rescued Sketchbook: Full Colors, which was a Right Stuf/Nozomi title that was DVD only before. The BR is due out next month.

100

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Considering how much better Ocean got with dubbing over the years, with their recent Dead Dead Demon's DeDeDeDestruction dub being highly praised, I'd love to see them do more stuff now. I miss voices like Scott McNeil and Brad Swaile!!

150

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

Saaaaame! I'm lucky I got the DVDs for them, but I wouldn't mind upgrading without breaking bank!

010

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 04/07/2026

It makes me wonder who's gonna try and get their hands on Gundam.

070

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

After all he's done, he's absolutely earned the right to license and put out whatever the hell he wants. I know I'm not complaining!

040

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

No way! You guys got a Yumiko Igarashi manga?! Will buy!! Hopefully this means her Anne of Green Gables manga will come later!

030

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

I remember that whole Shadow Warriors Chronicles bit! Glad they backtracked on that.

000

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

Yeah, that "translation" is just disgusting. People can rage at official publishers if they change one or two things, but it's totally okay for racists to do it on a manga that focuses on race? The double standard these idiots have is just sickening.

010

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 11/06/2026

Compared to how Eternia was treated previously the few times it was exported out of Japan, the sleeker dialogue boxes are small potatoes compared to the game FINALLY getting an uncut localization this time around, with the skits completely restored!

020

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

FUCK YEAH TAMERS LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Yaaaaaaay!!! Buying it day one!!!

020

Juliko @juliko.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

Is it weirder than the mess with Macross Do You Remember Love?
