Pneumon by @julienlabat.bsky.social — most well known for Bidonville on 256art — is an animated generative piece of gentle proportions. As Julien put it, "One must sync into the rhythm, and breathe." Minting Tuesday as part of the Dawn Contemporary gallery's next group show on Alba 🔥

In @julienlabat.bsky.social’s PNEUMON luminous abstract shapes twist against an inky black space to hypnotizing effect, almost like an Alexander Calder sculpture only visible at night. Part of the After Dark: Around the Fire group show from Dawn Contemporary opening on Alba on Jan. 29th 🔥

I released a fun little project yesterday! www.editart.xyz/series/KT1Wv... It's called "my favorite game.", it's a very simple generative system for you to play with and create : a grid, random pieces, 133 palettes … and a secret dimension. Extremely pleased to see what people are creating !

... Rick Rubin can help a lot too. Didn't get his book yet, definitely on my list. You can listen to any podcast/video he's in and you'll find some precious advice on the creative process coming from the coolest, most successful and blissful music producer of the last decades.

But it's a fairly common issue for a lot of artists. And there are really nice people out there who tried to address it and bring confidence in the self and the creative process. I would for example advise reading Art and fear by Edward Bayles and Ted Orland...

Sounds pretty normal to me. There could be multiple reasons, but for me it's often about the f*cking gap between the ideas and the work. Ideas are shapeless, fluctuating, and complex. Once you try to give them a form in the physical world, they (almost always) appear weaker than in the mind.

Hello there ! Here's something I've been working on for months. I'm absolutely not happy about it … except when I feel it's the best thing ever. In other words : just a WIP. Love.
