What’s lost in this budget debate
It is disturbing how the reforms to capital gains tax have thrown the opposition and their conservative media mates into a frenzy. It is not surprising that the ‘losers’ or potential losers will shout the loudest, but it is disappointing that serious efforts were not made to reflect genuine concerns and inadequacies – to improve the main initiatives, rather than just can them.

There's that nodding barbie #JaneHume yet again behind a bloke, like all good Liberal women should be! Pushed out by Ley, she obviously has ambitions for any bloke who can put her in the limelight to blather, when they couldn't win and argument with a toddler.

When this blows over I might have to share some of the emails I’ve received over the days which really make me wonder why I am the one accused of hatred. There is deep unresolved trauma being spewed by some of these people and we cannot consent to living according to their warped reality.

Thanks Mary. I've learned more from your Substack articles than anything here on MSM. Some of our decent Aussie journalists - very few and far between - could benefit from an 'insider' look through your lens about how things work inside America. Also very touching, your brother's story.🫶
