Is it weird that HOPPERS is like the most represented I’ve ever felt watching a movie as a Japanese American woman?

Some BTS photos shooting a proof-of-concept teaser using Lightcraft Tech for TOMORROW, I PROMISE (working title), which is the sister short to DRAGONFLY, inspired by my paternal grandfather and the draft resisters at Heart Mountain incarceration camp during WWII. Photos by Kenji Shimizu.

ONWARD is flawless storytelling. It’s the only kids/family film I can think of in like 20 years that doesn’t have a plot hole, logic issue, or forced/lack of character development.

I am so excited to announce the release of my audiobook debut! I was so flattered (and nervous) when @hollidayvermont.bsky.social asked me to narrate THE KNOWING DOLL and return to the world of Untypical and Delilah. But I had such a blast doing it and I can’t wait for folks to listen.

I Am A Gentleman Short Film - Film and Storytelling | Seed&Spark

Male violence is an epidemic, and in the world of I Am A Gentleman it's an expected part of growing up: from the moment Max hit puberty, he's told he will want to hurt girls. But is it biological like they say, or is it societal conditioning?

in my decade of making AD I've learned a lot, but perhaps the most important lesson is: do not write, act, AND direct. one or all will usually suffer. I also wouldn't recommend acting out a panic attack if you already have those, BUT if you have to do ANY of this, do it w @juliamorizawa.bsky.social

I did that thing today where I answered the phone and, as suspected, it was spam. And after listening politely for a couple minutes, I said, “Hello? Hello?” as if the service was cutting out (which it wasn’t) then I hung up. So yeah.

All these constant “box office flops” for big Hollywood movies that cost $200-300M to make. Let’s reinvest that money into 50-100 $1-10M indie films with story and character development. If you want to make your money back.
