With my first MS, it took so long for me to pick a solid narrative line, so the book changed constantly. With my second book, things came much faster bc I had a clearer idea of the arc from day 1. #momswritersclub

Yes! My first project is set in southern Spain, and one of the major scenes happens during Three Kings Day. I had written the scene as a religious play, then rewrote it when I realized most towns recognize the holiday with a citywide procession #momswritersclub

I hate adverbs in part bc I use them too much, so usually I do a find replace for “ly” - also I’ll search for words like “be able to,” “just,” “that,” “like,” all my usual suspects #momswritersclub

I think world building is important, regardless of genre, because you need to fully inhabit the spaces you’re exploring. I write contemporary/upmarket, so world building may not be as explicit as other genres, but it’s still important. #momswritersclub
