Today, we remember the lives so brutally taken and stand with the families whose loved ones were killed or taken hostage, the survivors who continue to carry unimaginable trauma, and Jewish communities in Israel and around the world who were forever changed by the horrors of that day.

The projected costs for Trump's vanity projects in DC are soaring. While Americans struggle to get by in this Republican economy, Trump's blatant waste is staggering.

I am deeply grateful for the example Gloria set and the path she helped pave for so many. She changed our country for the better, and while we have lost a fearless fighter for women and equality, the movement she helped build and the generations she inspired will carry her work forward.

Congresswoman Julia Brownley @juliabrownley.house.gov · 03/09/2026
Her true impact cannot be measured simply by the progress she helped achieve. It lives in the generations of women who found their voices, claimed their place at the table, stepped forward to lead, and continued the fight for equality.

She fought for reproductive freedom, equality in the workplace, and a movement that recognized and elevated the voices and experiences of women from all backgrounds.

The choice is clear: keep rewarding the wealthy while costs rise for everyone else or take action to lower prices, protect health care, and put working families first. The American people deserve better, and House Democrats are fighting for real relief for families across the country.

Families across Ventura County and the Conejo Valley are feeling the squeeze. Trump’s tariffs and Republicans’ economic agenda will only make it harder to pay the bills, save for the future, and get ahead.

Trump’s tariffs, his war in Iran, and the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” are putting even more pressure on household budgets while handing tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations.
