Ran my first 10k race this morning! I was not fast, but my toe injury past month threw a real wrench in my training. However I finished and the weather was so perfect!

Honestly, this is all fair and not at all surprising considering past purchases from Amazon. I also enjoy one not pictured which is "prefers comprehensive device protection" which I know is from me buying several phone covers and screen protectors over the many years.

List amazon has compiled of me including "brews espresso at home, enjoys ptome gaming, collects complete television series, knits as a regular hobby, watches anime" and "invested in the Nintendo Switch eecosystem."

Sissel is my gremlin baby of a cat but loves me so much. 😭 She follows me closely, immediately starts purring when I pick her up and wakes me up by snuggling into my side so intensely, it's like she's trying to fuse herself to me.

Saw some beautiful Japanese flower arrangements today.

Two flower arrangements, the flowers are sparse but arranged very intentionally. I don't know enough about flowers to describe them accurately but the one on the left is arranged in an upward configuration and looks like it's steadilu blooming. The one on the right is in a vase small at the bottom and flaring out wide on the top and the flowers are arranged like that as well, gathered at the bottom with branches widening out at the top

Morgana was loafing in the middle of the hallway and I was like, huh, a little unusual. And then I noticed one of the boob pad inserts from my workout bras had fallen out there and she had claimed it and it made way more sense.

There is a trending pattern on Ravelry right now called simply "The Garment." The text for it reads "Let the Garment envelop you; experience its heft and splendor." It is essentially a turtle-necked floor-length poncho with tassels at the bottom. It is the designers only pattern.

I started a new knitting project yesterday, despite having a lot of different hobbies already vying for my time! This multi color suri yarn I picked up from the Flock Fiber fest, the first of that stash I am knitting. I LOVE the effect, kind of watercolor looking 🥰

The two yarns are held together and knit and a small sample of the knit in progress is below, primarily blue, but the multicolored suri gives it subtle shifts of color like splotches of watercolor

Some of the new inks I got! The blue has some shimmer, though it's hard to catch in a picture, you can see it in person. This is written with a 1.5 calligraphy nib with a Lamy pen. The pink is my second ink ever and I immediately spilled it like I did my first. 😭 I still have half bottle left.

Got some new inks and new nibs to try, including a Tachikawa holder and some Wearingeul Writers nibs, because I am charmed by dip pens. I love these nibs, the writing is flowing and smooth and the novelty of having to redip your pen every few words gives me a second to think about what I'm writing.

There's a lull in my library holds and I'm using the time to reread Persuasion, one of my favorite Austen's which I haven't read for many years. I have several Jane Austen books that are these little hand-sized hardcovers I bought at Barnes & Nobles years ago in middle school and I love them.
