Omien havaintojeni mukaan Tampereella yhä useampi pyöräilijä näyttää käsimerkkejä, yhä useampi jalankulkija vilkaisee olkansa yli mennessään pyörätien yli, yhä useampi kääntyvä autoilija väistää pyöräilijää, ja pitkäperät ja laatikkopyörät ovat lisääntyneet. Kiva juttu, joka kielii kehityksestä! 🚲😍

Monthly trip record and daily TVD record for #Tampere bikeshare! In June 2026 we hit total of 47 715 trips, and in June 30 we got 3 trips/bike/day for the first time ever! +30 % growth in trips compared to season 2025, with this trend we may reach 300 000 trips/season. 🚲💥 #pyöräily

Total number of accidents with e-scooters has dropped, but the number of severe accidents stays the same. The city of Tampere will introduce new regulation: speed restriction (10 km/h) to certain areas with many pedestrians and a mandatory reaction test for weekend nights. #mobility #micromobility

😍1 800 trips with Tampere bikeshare yesterday, so TVD is 2,6. These kind of numbers have normally been reached in July or August. Seems to me that adding stations works as expected. And the other expected outcome was that there are going to be more empty stations #Tampere #pyöräily

Hell yeah city of #Turku! 🚊I believe they made the right decision as the Council approved the building of the tram line last night with votes 36-31. One of the many outcomes of building the tram line is that all the streets will be renovated to meet modern standards, including bike infra! #cycling 🚲

Bike hangar pilot is about to end. We had a project on improving bike parking in old housing, and one part of that was to give space from street for the use of bike hangar, that was allocated to a nearby housing company, which had limited space for bike parking at their lot. #Tampere #pyöräily

Some have probably noticed that we were trying to make the next bikeshare scheme regional, so that the users could easily use the bikeshare in every municipality: one registration, one pass, one app, the same bikes, the same everything. Great start for our bikeshare in season 2026! Opening day saw over 1 000 trips for the first time, and we've gotten >900 seasonal users already, from which roughly 13 % are totally new users! Empty station is always a bummer, but also shows that the demand for bikeshare is there! #Tampere #pyöräily

The Copenhagenize Index is out and the city of #Tampere reached the 45th place amongst the most bicycle-friendly cities! There are many things we can do even better, and it takes time to make a real change, but this shows that we are on the right track (cycle track that is 🤭) #pyöräily #cycling

All good things come to an end. Our #bikeshare closes tomorrow. We had 8 700 passes and 7 100 single-trips sold, 230k trips made by bike so utilization rate was 1,7 trips/bike/day - "not great, not terrible" as someone would say. User satisfaction stays high and NPS is 78, which is excellent result!

The new section is the missing piece between Santalahti and Hiedanranta🚲

I visited Ranta-Tampella after some time and oh boy does it look awesome! Lots of greenery and enjoyable places easily accessible by bike and foot. It's almost unimaginable that there was a highway right here before. I wouldn't mind if all of our streets looked and felt like this. #Tampere

Street plans for many main cycling routes have been published for comments. Unfortunately website is available only in Finnish. Some of the plans will be implemented this year, Viinikanlahti is long-term development site so those plans will take multiple years to actually be in place. #Tampere 🚲

Bike-sharing station at Pyynikki Observation Tower has been on low usage even though it's considered to be in city center. It's closed permanently and now we opened a new station in western Ranta-Tampella, where there has been a gap in station network for years. Happy cycling folks! #bikeshare

Kun alueellisesti iso media käyttää sanaa "kevyt liikenne", tarkoittaa "ajoneuvoliikenteellä" vain moottoriajoneuvoliikennettä ja tarkoittaa "pyöräkaistalla" jotain muuta kuin pyöräkaistaa, se saa kiristelemään hampaita. #pyöräily
