"ZIP code" vs "postal code" — but why is it called postal at all?
Turns out "post" carries two totally separate Latin roots inside it: relay horses stationed along Roman roads, AND wooden doorposts where villagers pinned public notices.
Both somehow collapsed into the same four letters.
