Judy Houser, Weave a Fine Yarn @judyhouser.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I started working on the New Zealand wool fabric softener scrappy ball this evening. Then, I had to stop and organize my embroidery floss organizer box which was much needed. It is going to be so much nicer looking for the right color to use now. ✂️🪡🧵 000

Judy Houser, Weave a Fine Yarn @judyhouser.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Warp threads do break under the tension and friction of the beater and reed. I was taught to tie a new thread onto the end of the broken piece, thread through dent of reed where it belongs, then pin a straight pin on the fabric, wrapping the thread around the pin several times. 000
Judy Houser, Weave a Fine Yarn @judyhouser.bsky.social · 05/10/2026I have wound the warp for my pillow project and hand wound into skeins. I had to order more golden tan yarn as I didn’t have enough in my stash. I also ordered a new reed which is the size needed for this project. So, this project is on hold for the time being. 000

Judy Houser, Weave a Fine Yarn @judyhouser.bsky.social · 04/10/2026In my sample, I made an error with my footing on the treadles. The first placemat is showing the pattern now it was meant to show. I started weaving an inch of tabby before starting the pattern. This will make it easier to hem as it will not be as bulky to fold under and stitch. 010
