I think BlueSky is not for me at this point in time. I won't delete it, and I might give it another try in a few months, but for now, Threads seems to be the only platform where I feel like I can build up a similar nerdy bubble like I had on Twitter before Musk ruined it.

The best birdfood is the one you don't have to buy because it can grow in your garden. Don't cut your shrubs down in fall, leave them until spring! They offer refuge for countless benefitial insects, and if they have berries or seeds on top of that, your birds will love them. 😊

It's one of these rare occassions where we have actual snow in the Rheinland valley. 🥰 All schools are closed, and buses, taxis, and trains have stopped operating. 20 cm of snow are enough to completely knock out our daily life here. 😄

On my way to Paris. It's not exactly a vacation trip, but I'll try to make some time for exploring the city on my own while I'm there. The Thalys / Eurostar train seems to have the same issues as Deutsche Bahn: Broken AC in summer, broken radiator in winter. 🥶

#PercyJackson Episode 4 apparently was "too slow" for many viewers. Personally, I appreciate the show taking its time for these character moments to unfold and to properly set up important lore like the satyrs' search for Pan and Annabeth' relationship with her father.

I think by saying "Happy NewYear", you don't necessarily mean that is happy but that you wish them to be happy in the new year. I tend to say "Healthy New Year" because I've learned how important and precious health is.

For me it's actually the other way round. 😅 Since we get much more US shows in Germany than we do UK shows, I'm much more used to US accents, and when I tried watching Dr. Who for the first time last week, I needed subtitles. 😅

I don't know if you can get MAC's in the UK, but that's what I feed my cats & hedgehogs and recommend to all my clients. It's the cheapest of the good ones here in Germany, £ 3.21 / kg for canned and £ 5.21 for their dry food.

Hedgehog kiddo literally knocked on my door to ask for help tonight. He's much too light for December, not even 1 pound, and he has a nasty cough. I'll bring him to the vet tomorrow and then to a professional hedgehog nursery where he can get big and round before hibernation.

I was asked if I could calculate what a medium cat (10 lb) and a medium dog (40 lb) cost their owners in Germany every single month / year, given that they never ever get sick or injured, that is. Results underneath. ⬇️
